I made this because my twin brothers both have Autism, and I was wondering if anyone else here had to deal with it.

No, I haven't...I have read a book where two people had Autism, but I don't know anyone personally who has it.

What is it like to have brothers who have Autism?

It's kind of hard, because they rarely use words to communicate. Also, it's a lot harder to teach them things, since their brains are wired differently. Since I'm the oldest sister still living at home, I usually have to help take care of them. Sometimes it gets really stressful, especially since Alex just pillfered my burrito.... *glares at Alex*

my sister talks a lot, but she had difficult speaking in the beginning. I know thats not what Autism is, but it was hard for our family. So I know what you are going through...she still has difficulties here and there. She's in grade 2 but doesn't know any math or anything. She knows the numbers and letters, but can't read or anything ><

We just learned about Autism in my Exceptional Person class. So I know about it and one of my campus buddies has it. Other than the fact that he needs to go walking by himself every day, he's a great kid. We get along really well since I see past the fact he has autism and when he says 'I need to be by myself a little.' I just let him alone. It's not that he's trying to hurt my feelings, he just needs some time to filter things out.

My bro' has it. He's still a great person, but he has a really bad temper and is kind of violent because he's also obsessed with video games. >.> It's kind of sad, he talks about his games as if he needs them to live.

He doesn't have it quite as bad as most with autism do though.

I know a girl at my school with Autism. Last year the special ed teacher actually noticed I was like, the only one who didn't tease her or make fun of her, so they asked me if I would hang out with her and stuff. All of her friends were mainly other special ed kids, and she wasn't really learning how to... Communicate with other kids, i guess, by hanging out with them.

Today, I saw on the news that scientisits discovered what causes autism! It's a mutant gene. That means that finding a cure, may actually be possible now!

ps: sorry for bumping, but i didn't want to get in trouble for making a new topic either

I hope that scientisits find a cure to the autism. My little brother has it since he was a baby. He used to act normally, but after many years he isn't the same. He is 13 years old now. He doesn't talk too much with me and the rest of the family and when I say something to him, he react violently. Isn't easy but I have to deal with it. I think now that scientisits have discovered the cause of it, it's possible to find a cure.
