Attention all AMV Makers, Relocate Your Vids from YouTube to Here!

I've had to take off one of my vids off YouTube because UMG didn't want me to use a Sheryl Crow song, they are so annoying, I've relocated to here, the Kingdom Hearts ones anyway.

They might have done that because you didn't disclaim the music, or say the song and artist in the video description or credits. They usually don't take down an AMV because of the song.

I DID disclaim it and say I didn't own the song, anyway, I'm moving from YouTube because it's becoming the JerkTube, and anti-AMVTube.

    1) Wouldn't this be considered advertising? Sorry if I'm wrong >_>

    2) Youtube is becoming "Jerk-tube" just because of one video? I don't see them deleting ALL of the AMVs out there. If they did, then there would be no youtube. :3

    3) I don't think they're aloud to do that, anyways... As long as you're SURE you put a disclaimer on it, then you should be allowed to put it back up. ^^

If the song's album hasn't been released yet, they sometimes do that. But youtube is pretty AMV friendly.

Anti-AMV tube? I have a few AMVs there from a while ago and they haven't gotten removed. Maybe it's because they wanted the song to be bought of CD and only be used to listen to period. That's just my point of view, I am not sure if this is completely correct.

UMG stole on of my videos, too, for having a Rise Against song in it.

They really are starting to piss me off, stealing my AMVs

LiveVideo may not be as popular but they have better video quality and they're not jerks about having AMVs there, I think the mods actually review videos and they've let all of mine go on their site, back up all your videos on LiveVideo, because when they (YouTube) threaten to suspend your account over an AMV you won't be happy either (they haven't threatened me yet).

YouTube now uses it's I.D. system to target songs, it made me mute most of my skillet videos. It's not fun putting stuff up there anymore, since I'll have to limit the songs I can use to the songs that have ads on them.

    2) They raped (no offense) pwilliard's page and deleted like a dozen of his best videos, along with about 20 others from my 100+ video playlist, and they show no signs of stopping

    3) Actually, disclaimers do nothing. I looked it up in their guidelines. It says that even if you put one on, they can still screw you over.

Thats a pretty false thing to say, alot of my amvs where removed even with disclaimers and I can't put them back up. Youtube is copyright friendly but not user friendly, it also stops me from watching certain videos because i'm not from the country of the person who uploaded it. So i'd say it is "JerkTube".

Personally, all my videos are being uploaded here from now on, where not only can I get real advice and get away from the Youtube idiots (no offence to anyone here), I don't have to worry about uptight corporations ruining everything.

None taken, the big corporations are just making AMVers move elsewhere, but they can't chase us around forever, especially since this place is not well known for having videos.

none taken. but youtube is a lot more protective than most other sites.(i think i will put a video profile on this website soon.) youtube just doesn't want to get sued again so they are deleting vids that have music that "supposedly" belong to Viacom. so it is half of youtube's crap but its also alot better than some others. youtube was the only site that didn't kick me off the first day.
