Attack on Titan: Reluctant Heroes

Well I did say an AoT rp would be interesting to see. This wasn't what i was expecting at all. Oh well, time to start thinking of a bio and personality.

Nobody knows Hunter, he keeps to himself and kills Titans. Shut up Gabi, nobody asked you. He spends most of his time either poking fun at someone or killing things, but almost never goes out of his way to talk to somebody. Rumours say his entire village was slaughtered at the hands of the titans and that he was the only survivor. Of course those rumours are wrong, but still.

Role in society: Tinkerer. Often tweaks and repairs 3D maneuver gear and invents other weapons to help with the titans, however she prefers to go and see the results of her equipment first-hand so she often goes outside to test it herself in the field.
Weapon: One of the swords, and a pistol.
Power: The power to transform into her wolf form for a short time. While other Fae can maintain it for a lengthy period of time, hers only lasts for up to an hour due to her not being 100% fae.

Akari's story is no more or less traumatic than anyone else. Everyone in Kaynta has a horrible story to their name for the most part, but hers is one she keeps a closely guarded secret. Her mother was a pureblood Fae, her father was a human. When she was young, Akari's mother went out on her usual runs with the scouting regiment. This run would end worse than any other runs, for her mother would never return. Well, that's not entirely true, she did return...but it didn't go well. A young girl raced towards the wall as she heard the cries and screams of her mother, running towards the wall and hurrying to a point where she could see mostly everything from. She saw her mother being picked up by a titan and swallowed whole, the screams ending rather abruptly.

Go forward a few days, and a grief stricken Akari was bothered even more. There was a loud knocking at the door, and the second her father opened the door he was slammed against the wall and one of the soldiers began yelling at him. It appeared someone had spoken of Akari's Fae heritage, and the people inside of the wall did not feel safe with a potential danger among them, or so they claimed. Akari was seperated by her father and tossed outside of the wall. The last thing she heard before the gates slammed shut were the words being spoken; "You will be executed at dawn" to her father.

The next few days were the roughest days of her life. Surviving alone was horribly frightening, and she found it extremely difficult. At one point, she found herself being chased by two male titans. They weren't amazingly big, but they were much bigger than her. That wasn't hard, given she was only 15. She backed up against a tree and began screaming and crying, not wanting to be eaten. Right as they neared her, a rustling was heard from the trees followed by a single male falling from the sky. Downwards he spiralled, right towards one of the titans where he slashed straight across the back of its neck, slaying the creature instantly. He then rode the titan's body to the ground, then began climbing up the other one where he began hacking and slashing at the other one's neck. They were both slain quickly, saving the little girl.

A few years on and Akari had found her place in Kaynta. It wasn't the best life, but it was better than her previous one. She often wondered what had happened to her father, and what would happen if she returned there, but she would then distract herself tinkering with her devices and experimenting with the 3D maneuver gear. It wasn't much, but it was home to her.

Bio: Tessa was raised by two loving parents in the town of Kaynta. She has known no other world besides this life in the trees. Following her coming of age, she followed her father into the Scout Corp, where she trained to combine her Fae powers and human abilities to become a talented fighter. She doesn't like combat and prefers a peaceful approach because of her mother's parenting, but she will defend her family with her life.

Bio: Veera was a citizen of the walled city until the age of thirteen, when she was selected amongst others to be sent outside the wall in search of supplies. In what was basically a suicide mission used to help the remaining population survive inside the wall, Veera somehow survived and made it to the city of Kaynta, where she trained under the Scout Corp to become an excellent fighter. How exactly she survived isn't known by many, and she refuses to speak of it. To this day she despises the walled city and its inhabitants, including her own parents, who still to her knowledge remain safely within its vicinity.

Bio: Zack was born in Kaynta. His father was a cook, and died in a horrible accident in the kitchen when he was five. Afterwards he was raised by his mother and his aunt. When he came of age, he worked in the kitchens for a short period, before joining the Scout Corp when his friend Tessa Jones (See above) came of age. Despite being a late trainee, he managed to pass the tests and join Tessa on the front lines. He still lives with his mother and aunt, and despite their misgivings about him being a soldier, they have a good relationship. He is wary of anything to do with the walled city, but wants to explore the world one day.

From the moment Drake was a child, he had been told he was destined for great things. His father, Daniel Famoye, had been a general among the military police in the walled city, and from the age of five years old Drake was showing potential. Even at a young age like that, he was already trying to help out with dealing with the titans. People refused to let him help then, but the fact he was trying made him a standout from other children, as did his father's position of power.

When Drake was eight years old, an overwhelming force of titans began assaulting the small settlements outside of the city, and his father was sent with a small force of the city's most elite soldiers to go and deal with them. Drake stowed away in the back of a caravan of supplies, and after a couple of days they arrived at the settlements in time to see the titans destroying homes and eating people. The band of warriors got to work, cutting the titans down swiftly, but their numbers were impressive and the warriors found themselves being forced back.

And then Daniel Famoye began unleashing attack after attack on the titans. With his fierce strength and determination, the humans began getting back the advantage. However, just as they were starting to push them back, Drake made his move. Grabbing the 3DMG he fired a piercy hooky thing at one of the titans. The boy was a natural, swinging around and out-maneuvering the titan. However, as he swung straight into the neck of the titan, he found himself unable to stab the blade in deep enough due to lacking the strength. Amidst his shock, the Titan found the opening and struck Drake off of his shoulder.

Laying on the ground and undefended, Drake was an easy kill. As the titan slammed its fist straight at Drake, Daniel Famoye stood in its path and simply held the titan's fist away from his son. Screaming at Drake to run, he held the titan back for about thirty seconds before his legs gave way and he found himself crushed. Seconds later, he was lifted up and eaten by the titan he had so bravely fought off. It took everything in him for Drake not to turn back and attack out of rage, but he found the determination inside of him and ran back.

The next few days were the most terrifying of Drake's life. He was on the move constantly, hiding from the titan that was pursuing him. Eventually, he found his way back to the walled city, but he hadn't quite made it there when the titan finally caught him. Screaming and kicking, Drake fought furiously, but it was pointless. The titan's strength far outweighed his own, and just as he was about to suffer the same fate as his father the titan stopped and fell forward, its body limp and unmoving. When the dust cleared, the young boy could at last see his savior. It was a man with white hair and sturdy-looking armour. It was the king of Kaynta. Drake thanked the man and begged him to teach him to fight the titans. The king, seeing the determination and fear in the boy's eyes, took him in and allowed him to live among them.

Not even a year later, Drake found himself confronted by the titans once more. He'd been scavenging for materials in the field when he'd spotted the king's daughter, Amber Rouge, being gripped by a titan. Dropping everything he was carrying, Drake rushed forward and began yelling at the titan, before striking it with his fists. Though they did no damage at all, they did distract the titan long enough for the king to come in and attack the titan, causing the giant to drop its captive. Drake then dove forward as the girl was dropped and caught her, though it was close. He took her out of the way and set her down gently against a tree before he ran back to help the king. By the time he got back, though, the titan was slain.

A few years later, Drake had his chance to showcase how much he had learned from the king. The boy had grown up to be a powerful warrior, able to best most of the warriors in Kaynta in single combat. This was tested when he heard a scream come from below him. It wasn't a scream of rage or excitement, but one of fear and sorrow. He'd know that scream anywhere; he'd let out one similar the day his father had died. And without another thought, Drake was off. He grabbed his 3DMG and simply leaped off of the canopy that everything was built on top of.

He came down with incredible force straight on one of the titans that was threatening a younger girl, cutting the giant's neck immediately and killing it. He then rode the body down before launching his assault on the other titan, climbing up its legs and eventually to its face where he lashed out with both of his swords, blinding the creature momentarily. He then dashed around to the titan's neck and with one vicious, brutal slash he landed the cut and the giant fell to the ground, dead. Picking up the girl who was in tears at that point, he took her back with him up to the canopy and gave her a new home.

A few years later and Drake was the leader of the scouting regiment. He'd proven himself many times in the field of battle but his attention to detail was impeccable, making him an obvious choice for the position. Truth be told, he excelled in just about every area of every job in Kaynta with the exception of repairs, but scouting was the one he had chosen.

Bio: At a young age Gavin was different. He was always odd. People called him names and all sorts of things. His eyes looked different then others. He had so much name calling he decided to hide his appearance and name from everyone he came across. One day he was sitting in his room and his mom brought him a new outfit. He tried it on and no one bothered him from his appearance from then on. he was able to help people from a distance. He was no longer jugged. The power to turn to an animal at will helped him wherever he went.

Bio: Olivia is one of the few witches still in existence. Her family heritage is said to descend from the witch Medusa of the ancient country of Greece, a place that was powerful empire before the rise of the Titans. Due to the strict witch code however, only a single witch could be born per parent. Even if the codex was broken, the other child would be normal, a human being without any magical talent. That was what her mother always told her, a witch as well. Her father, another human.

Because of the decrease in magical ability over the years, the knowledge for more unique and powerful magic had been lost. This has put a limit on the capabilities, however Olivia was never satisfied with this limitation. She trained in the sword early on to fend off Titans. It was also apparent her intellect was of a higher standard compared to the past few generations of witches so the hope that she could restore the mythical power granted to them would be rediscovered. For now she doesn't have any magic worthy of combat, just simple things to aid in inventing.

As such, beginning from the age of 10, she has been studying magic as well as the Titans. They were fascinating to her really. Their origins, their abilities, it was all a mystery to her and she did what she could to capture some and learn what exactly they were. Very little information has been made thus far, but there was enough to aid in the fights against the Titans. As for the reason she started so young, her mother and father were on a raid for supplies only to be slain by Titans. The only thing she could do now was support herself by inventing and making new discoveries, selling them to aid in the effort.

Bio: At a young age her town she lived in was attacked by titians. Her family and town was completely destroyed. She was able to escape and find a elvish community. Where she learn the elvish way. She grow up in the trees and forest so she became use to the idea. After several years of living in this forest a storm hit a tree causing the whole forest to check on fire. Several elves were injured in the possess. This is when she discovered her gift. She started to sing to the dying elves. Soon she found that her voice could heal others. Was it some sort of gift? maybe she would never know. Unfortunately she was unable to save them. Shorty after the fire the titians came. having been practicing for years with her Swords and bow and arrows she was able to fight the off for a time, but they keep on coming. The town elf told her to leave which she did. Years went by and she traveled from place to place helping were she could. People that knew her came to know her from her magical healing voice. As time went on she found that she could heal with out the magic of her voice, but preferred to sing anyways. Soon she found out about a fae king in the land of Kaynta. She continued to travel until she met the king of kaynta. She was able to train under him for some time and became rather good with the 3d maneuver gear. After that she went out to see what she could find out in the would. She came to met humans and there old ways. Some were nice while others would drive a stake though you if they got the chance. She became use to the fact that humans generally are afraid of what they do not understand. Now she was on her way back from the trip of unknown. of all the towns she had been to Kaynta was her favorite.

Chrono grew up having no memories of his parents. He was raised by a 'family friend' who would often tell him stories about his parents, proving that he did no them well enough to be considered a family friend. Still even with all the stories that he was told, there was one question that was on his mind. Why had his parents left him?

According to what he was told, they loved him dearly and likely wouldn't leave him if they had a choice. When he had turned 16 he finally decided to ask his foster father about it. However all of his attempts to ask about what happened to his parents were met with the same response each time, they were killed by titans. Not that there was anything wrong about this answer, but if it was just that, then why all the secrecy over telling him what had happened?

A few more attempts later and it became clear that Chrono wasn't going to get a straight answer from his foster father, so he decided to find the answer to himself and what better place to start than his home. In his home there was a closet that he was never allowed in. Now that he thought about it, just what could be in there that would need to be hidden. Chrono had a couple of ideas. Some he'd hoped he was wrong and others were just was he needed. The odds of it being either were 50/50. Taking the gamble, he opened the closet door.

Inside he found a box. The 50/50 chance was still in affect, so he approached the box and opened it up as well. The box was fairly small, but the three items inside fitted perfectly inside. A photo, what he could assume was the cape to a scouting regiment uniform and a missing persons flyer. One was a family portrait of sorts, a man and a woman. Both of which had similar features to him. Were these his parents and how come seeing a picture of them didn't trigger any memories? That's what he was hoping would happen.

Chrono placed the picture of his parents in his pocket before turning his focus to the scouting regiment cape. Chrono then compared the cape he was looking at to the one in the picture. It perfectly matched the one his presumed mother was wearing. His mother was in the scouting regiment? If that was true, why keep this from him? Next up was the flyer. There was only one face on the flyer and it was the man who Chrono had assumed was his father. According to the flyer, his father had been missing for 14 years, meaning that the last time he would've say him was when he was 2. That explained the lack of memories. Around 4 is about as far back as he can clearly remember stuff.

Chrono skimmed the flyer for any other information that could be useful for him, but found nothing. The lack of information could mean that either he was pretty well hidden, or dead. Chrono hoped for the former as he placed it back in the box and closed the closet door. He had finally found some clues as to what happened to his parents, though it was unfortunate that said clues revealed them to be missing. No matter, that wasn't going to stop him from trying to find them.

Bio: Kala appeared in Kaynta a few odd years ago, telling a story of parents lost in battle, and homes lost to titans. She chose to follow the way of peace instead of battle, and managed to get a job working as a maid for the royal family. She has ambitions to get elevated to Princess Amber's bodyguard.

Bio: Galadorn has guarded the woods for as long as he can remember, he watched while the humans built a city in his woods and pledged to guard them as well. Though Galadorn has lived for many decades, he cannot remember much of his life, all he knows is that he is duty-bound to protect the city of Kaynta.
