I only watched the first episode of Kill la Kill, and so far, I'm pretty impressed. Ryuko and Mako are such great characters. Can't wait to watch the rest.

I gave into the hype for a brief moment and watched the first episode of Kill la Kill a few weeks ago. Didn't do anything for me. I can see why it's liked, but the first episode didn't leave such an impression that I would continue.

Because that's 40 extra minutes I could spend doing something I enjoy.
And I don't watch much anime anymore anyway.
I get bored and restless and lose focus.

Like I'm watching a movie right now and I'm having to fight myself to watch it. I keep looking away.

and YOU'RE DISTRACTING ME STOP IT

To be fair, it's an abomination in nearly every aspect imaginable. It's truly one of the worst things I've ever seen.
I haven't watched it in one sitting, though. I watched the first half a couple days ago.

Apparently, Japan also has a live action movie for it in the works. Let's see if it's able to drop the ball worse than Dragonball Evolution or The Last Airbender. For people who are curious about SnK, I'd say it's best to try it for yourself. It's massively hyped, so extreme opinions on both ends of the spectrum are floating around undoubtedly. I'd say go with the mango over the animoo if you want to explore the political intrigue aspects of the plot more, and have more time with the characters. The anime is nice, but it's pretty gory and is more showy, I guess. Either way, listen to the OST -- it's pretty legit.

Well, it could be so hyped up that people don't realize that it was a thing for quite a while before the show started. Wait, never mind.[DOUBLEPOST=1390643227][/DOUBLEPOST]
Is the OST legit even if I pirate it?

bump because i just watched the entire show in less than a day b/c of this thread, tyvm

Realtalk though, I thought it was okay. It's got a really addicting property to it because just about every episode ends in a hair-pulling cliffhanger. Towards the end though I thought it lost some momentum & I had to fight the urge to skip forward sometimes.

I think the main problem is that I didn't get very attached to many of the characters :'c. Loads of them die before that's possible, and the ones who don't I was only just starting to warm up to when the show kinda just... ended. No closure or anything. Which makes sense given that it's an adaptation of an unfinished series, but talk about anticlimactic.

I also found myself laughing when I felt like I shouldn't have been a fair amount lmao. Some of those titans' faces were hilarious (that one with the huge eyes omg). And the way a lot of them run like disoriented toddlers.

    Overall though, wuz gud.

Also gat dang, people keep talking about how ridiculously violent and gory this show is and I just wasn't seeing it. It usually felt semi-tame to me. :v That may not be a good sign.

anyway there is my review nobody asked for you're v. welcome

The inspiration for each generic titan's face was taken from a person Isayama has seen in real life. He picks them because he thinks they look ugly.
