So, I've thought of this for a little while, and I kinda gave up on it, but now it's one of those things that I just feel like I need to ask. So each time Sora opens up a pathway in KHII, it comes from an important object, like the rose in beast's castle, The Cornerstone of Light, and stuff like that. So how is it that in Atlantica, it comes from a bubble? A stinkin Bubble!? What he heck kind of importance is that? And then he says that a new pathway is open. You finish it after you beat Pride Lands, so you can only go to Hallow Bastion to continue the story, and that's not new, so why does he say that? Did they just want to keep it consistent or something?

I think it was mostly for consistency like you said, but I guess it could have also been out of developer silliness.

You know, it's not necessary to advance in the story, so they just decided to use a bubble instead of something more meaningful.

However, in a way, bubbles can be meaningful.

They probably just needed an excuse for why Sora was leaving atlantica again. As for the bubble being the "important object", I have no idea.

I haven't watched the Little Mermaid in fureva, but if I recall correctly, wasn't Ariel's voice sealed within a bubble/bubble-like object as part of her deal with Ursala? It could also have just been because most of the singing challenge things used bubbles for you to hit the arrows, so it could have been purely based on aesthetics.

As for the pathway quote, don't you get an upgrade to the Underground Collesium challenges for finishing Atlantica? Or as you said, it could have been merely for the sake of (unneeded at that point) consistency.

Yea. That would be my guess. You could do that world in a different order, but not really due to the requirements you need to finish it. For the bubble thing, there really wasn't much else except a clam maybe. Although, now I think a little, the trident could have been used. After all, it revealed the keyhole in the first game, why didn't they use that?

enlighten me as to how a bubble is important? Did it get stuck in ursala's throat and kill her? Did it keep eric under the water for how deep they were? And they seemed pretty deep, not too mention he threw that knife pretty quickly considering that they were underwater.

Well, if it wasn't out of silliness and they were following the show, like Plums said, Ariel's voice could have been in the bubble, giving it importance, and when they defeated her, Ariel got her voice back.

but it wasn't sealed in a bubble. It just took a sort of spherical shape when it was taken and it was stowed in a shell.
