Sooooo this is being made, as everyone already knows. Buuuuuut Assassin's Creed THE MOVIE -cue explosions- will be having none other than Michael Fassbender produce and star as Desmond Miles. I mean, movie adaptations of games usually fall flat on their face (lololol Prince of Persia) but at least if this one does it can with Michael Fassbender, right? He's cute. RIGHT?! Unless Michael will be playing both, buuuut I'm not sure all we know now is that he is attached to the upcoming film. What do you lovely people think??? There's no way they'll put enough money into this movie to be great, but he's a very underrated actor.
. . . This movie is complete news to me. I don't like it, and think that they're going to mess it up big time. Plans like these ones are never executed right. It's the same worries with the BioShock movie. I'll be surprised if they do it right.
So it's an actual adaption of the first game? I think I might have preferred a different Subject to expand the story on and really get a different era and characters and all that, but meh, I guess this will have to do. I really don't know what Fassbender will be like so, yeah, wait to hear more.
Looking at images of Fassbender, he looks like he would fit playing Desmond... if he had been about ten years younger. Not that it really matters, it will more than likely be a pretty bad film. For several reasons, which are too obvious to go into.
This could be bad. Or it could work out fairly well, like Prince of Persia did. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Honestly, I'm kind of hoping for another video game movie to do what Super Mario Bros. did.
