I think they maybe experimenting if they are all that big shot that they think they are, to sell 2 block busters at the same time..
Everybody new they're doind it.. they are always doing a new AC.. they could just make this video to the PS4 event, so it was a new thing.. not that Watch dogs wasnt good, but we already knew it from E3.

As for the Brazilian AC I think it was a blank propousal that Ubisoft made. Sure they are excited about the increasing number of buyers of AC in Brazil, as much that they did an especial mission at Brazil (at AC III), but it was so bad tastefull of their part that we got offended and they promised a whole game in Brazil to make up for it, yet I don't think they thinked through when they promised this game, as most of Brazilain story isn't that much appealing.. and much restricted to what they could combine with AC.. they could make a game in the monarchy era, as Dom Pedro I, was know to being part of secret socitys, and then he banished them from the church and country , Brazil is also the largest catholic country in the world so there could be templars about... yet there is no great war or revolution in here, even our liberation from Portugal was bought.

Trailer was definitely of a higher quality than current gen standards. *Cough*PS4masterrace*Cough* Not too surprised seeing Connor's grandfather with two swords. One of Connor's counters has him using two and with dual wielding becoming the new standard in combat...it was only a matter of time before we saw this. Still, I just want to see some gameplay on next-gen consoles before I can get really excited about this.

It looks nice, but by the looks of gameplay.... it's not much different from the third game apart from dual wielding longer weapons, and swimming sections. The former is not new, but could be more evolved than before, whilst the latter... well we know how well swimming can go....

Am I the only one who doesn't think this Edward Kenway appears anything like a pirate but just an Assassin on a ship? Pirates don't wear long coats or robes, Assassin's do! D:

Well, the trailer did say "Pirate turned Assassin," so this is obviously after Edward joined the Assassins' Order. We don't know how he dressed before.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the end of the game had you playing as Haytham.

EDIT: Ok, it says "trained by Assassins." Yeah, I are dumb. However, we still don't know his history before joining the Assassins, so I think my point stands.

Honestly that was me just being a bit petty. I am not looking forward to well explored before the pirate age, in the same locations we have already had visits around in the last game, with a character who looks to be a charming rogue clone of Ezio. It's not a game I want from this series because of those points, mainly as a numbered title, if it was just a spin of like Brotherhood or Revelations, or done this game further down the line, I would've been fine with it. But since it's a sequel to the last game, in the same location in only about a hundred years difference, it's unappealing.

But you can go UNDER WATER @_@! To think that Altair didn't know how to swim now we can even explore the tresures at bottom of sea >(!
But I agree that It shouldn't be a number just AC: Black flag.

Altair knew how to swim. Ubisoft actually confirmed this by saying the first Animus couldn't deal with swimming. Otherwise known as, they just didn't want you to swim in the first game.

Also, Aveline(Liberation), can go under water in her game. Only for a few sections of the game though. Wasn't anything impressive but I wasn't expecting much anyways.

Finally, this game is confirmed to not have a crouch button. Apparently stealth will be...better than ACIII, but that's not saying much. Click for source.

Guys chill it out and keep on topic. It was only a small remark, nothing to add to the thread

I can't wait to play this game, though I feel that it's kind of a little too early still for a new game like right after AC III came out.

I can see why they went with a numbered title. Assassin's Creed has peaked so by naming it ACIV they can make it seem more important and get more sales before Ubisofts next generation blockbuster (Watch_Dogs maybe?) comes out. Basically like how Prince of Persia was Ubi's little gem last generation and fell off the radar once Assassins Creed came out.
