when you are still awake at 6 in the morning and listening to the Assassin Creed soundtrack, i was bound to make this thread. But yes, ideas for the game, i honestly would love to see a girl ancestor, and i heard the game staff even were considering a female one in around WW2, but the scriptwriter said he would not do that, since it is a common subject among games. Other ideas being Middle Ages or Feudal Japan (in which i think would not be good)
when they add more than a wrist mounted gun, the story is going to die, who is gonna want to be an assassin with blades when they know their enemy can shoot them at long range?
^This. As soon as they give them guns the game will just be like most of the games these days, gun nuts with a first person view obsession. I like the idea of the Middle Ages with King Arthur and the Feudal Japan one would work with the Assassin Thing but that's about it, cause it'll just be a ninja game and I prefer Tenchu for that. Spoiler I could see them having Desmond go back to the first civilization like with Adam and Eve in that secret video. They could even have him go to multiple ancestors, like he has to jump through the past to find stuff then do some stuff in the present day. At this point they could probably do anything with time travel, Spoiler like Desmond himself might even not have to use the Animus as hinted at when they said something about everyone who got near that just went mad which would be like how he's special and the reason why we're following Desmond. Seriously, it could be anything, they left enough unanswered questions from the previous games.
I'd love the idea of following one or both of Altair's sons wha were mentioned in the Codex, hunting down Genghis Khan. He conquered India, China and controlled Mongolia, so the amount of areas to explore and assassinate in would be numerous. Very brutal, I imagine. I think Sengoku period Japan could be done justice, to a point. I have played Tenchu before, and I could see the similarities already. Though I would enjoying fighting Nobunaga. Middle ages would be ok, it could be a change, but i'm not sure. I dislike the idea of WW2. I've seen enough Nazi killing in one lifetime than i'd rather like. I agree with the writer, do more obscure eras instead of the common ones. To tell the truth, when AC2 was said to be set in Italy, during the Renaissance, I thought it wouldn't work well at all. I was wrong. So the developers can do what they like. Is the new DLC suppose to add any hints towards AC3?
Any period of time before ACII will piss me off(unless it's about "those who came before"). ACII was mostly about Spoiler Desmond getting the skills to become an assassin and therefore the next game should either be 2012(current day for the game) or possibly set in America(not during the Civil War or either World War though). I'd love to see the Apple of Eden make another appearance. Maybe Desmond can use it this time. 8D
I would be pretty angry if Assassin's Creed 3 was set before ac2 or ac1 because it would just mess with me! We won't get as big of a time skip on this one if we are in the Animus because we are walking a fine line about the guns and such. My guess is the writers won't go past the Civil War of America in the Animus but here is my idea. I would really love to see it set during the time of the French revolution. Guns were still troublesome to use so it would be almost like arrows were in the first 2 games, because they took a while to load and the sights were bad as well. Just my 2 cents though.
I could see Desmond using the Apple if any still exist. In AC: Bloodlines, Spoiler Altair does at one point use the Apple to force the populace of Cyprus to his side. I think Desmond my use it to achieve a similar goal, but seeing how as Desmond is slightly more 'immature' he could abuse the power. Btw, I thought that Desmond was special was because Spoiler he and his ancestors, all descendants of Adam and/or Eve, are able to mostly resist the effects of the Pieces of Eden. That's a probelm for Abstergo, if they want to control the world, they can't do so if people resist.
