Ah, Artemis Fowl. I remember reading them in middle school, but somehow I thought the 3rd book was actually the 2nd book. Thus, I was very confused about certain details that were clarified after reading the second one. Anyway, I haven't touched the series in a long, long time. I, too, was surprised when Time Paradox came out. Though, I was expecting it, I still haven't read it yet. But I kind of agree with....Rainshine(I can't believe I forgot your previous username). I do see it as a kid's book as well.

I like them but they've degraded some. It was a stable trilogy and then he added Opal Deception. Opal Deception was my favorite book in itself but I kind of wish he didn't write it. He obviously doesn't have the grand story mapped out anymore and the newer books are just getting worse and worse. I could barely finish Atlantis Complex. He's crazy, we get it.

Eh, I felt Opal Deception was given proper foreshadowing, what with Mulch's medallion and all. It wouldn't have been right to leave it how it was at the end of The Eternity Code. I thought that the series started jumping the shark at Losy Colony. Introducing a love interest was just a no. It spectacularly landed crotch-on-shark-fin with the train wreck of Time Paradox. I haven't even picked up Atlantis Complex. Is it worth reading, or will it tarnish my opinion of the series further?
