It depends... If it's quiet and I'm absorbed in something, definitely, if not, I really don't react much at all, if any.

If it's loud noises, I get startled very quickly. I'm terrified of loud noises since a firework went off in front of me as a baby. Sirens, guns, fireworks, balloons, they all set me off, even if I expect it. It's something I've dealt with all my life, one time me and my mom were walking in a parking lot and a police car drove right next to us and without warning turned on it's siren. I think I actually smashed into my mom to get away from the noise since I was closest, I know I was in a fetal position in seconds about five feet away.

Lol, it always seems like I am easily amused or emotional. Being startled/frightened is no different. D: I used to have stage fright but thankfully that' has overcome by being on stage a lot now.

But strangely enough, I thoroughly enjoy haunted house attractions and what not (Fright Fest at Six Flags is a tradition for me : D ). My brothers are also usually the ones to pull pranks on me and scare me at any given opportunity ._.

But yeah, the only way I can watch or play horror genre things is if I am in the broad daylight and with happy music in the background and friends/family with me.

I jump at sudden sounds mostly. Like doors opening and footsteps. And I'm REALLY jumpy after reading creepypasta, but who isn't? I really like scary games and stuff though, cause being scared to death is fun. But not in real life.

I can symphatize with this actually, I used to play games like Resident Evil when I was younger because I enjoyed the thrill.

I can't play too much Horror games today because I'm afraid I'll faint or something though.

But about me, VERY easily, actually, like just yesterday my father forgot to knock on my door before telling me "Good night" and I went all "WHATWUTWHOISTHERE?", then noticed him and got mad lol.

Like, when one is focused on something like the computer and somebody disturbs you without notice, it's easy to get startled.

Yes, the other day when I arrived at my boyfriend's house he was hiding, though I actually saw him, when he jumped out and yelled, I still jumped. My mom startles me a lot when she comes in to tell me good night. Especially when I am absorbed in something.

I am actually, if I'm really not expecting something, no matter how trivial it is, I jump three feet in the air. I got laughed at when I was working last week, one of the kids dropped a large pop bead on the floor and it rolled past me, and I honestly thought it was a mouse out of the corner of my eye.

I blame it on the fact that teaching toddlers makes you high strung and on high alert cuz 10000000000 things can happen in the blink of an eye.
