Are The Japanese Brainwashing Us?!

I doubt that DS. If they were to brainwash us now, we'd be dead now. Example, Naruto. Kids would be running around waving knives or holding them in their mouths or trying to dye their eyes with red coloring to make a sharingun. So far, no reports.

ah, okay... I see what you guys are saying. I told my sister what you guys have all said, and she still denied it, but wouldn't give me a reason... probably just because she hates it XD

anyways, I find it hightly unlikely that the Japanese could pull this off... I mean, they have good technology and all, but I don't think they're quite at that level yet... XP and with all of the editing that Americans do to the shows, they'd notice if something like that were included in it. and yes, they would be brainwashing themselves XD

although I would have to go with Tularim about DN... something about that show just isn't right... >> lol XD

 

Where would she get that idea? Anime is purely for entertainment, at least I hope so, or I am totally brainwashed and my mind is blown away. xD

It sounds like your sister is being one-track minded on the issue so you probably are not going to be able to convince her. If she hates something there is a bias towards it and it will not really matter what you say unless she is actually willing to listen to you. That's how people get over various topics and we all have our pet peeves.

There is no way that anime does anything more than as I said, other cartoons have done in the past. It is simply for entertainment and a marketing ploy when toys, cards and the like are tossed in for people to buy. Some people, as others mentioned, get 'obsessed' with anime but that's no different than liking a favorite song or movie or cartoon or video game and blathering on about it. You are right and I'd stick to your guns mentally, even if you cannot convince her. Sometimes in these scenarios it's best to 'agree to disagree' implying you don't have to give up your feelings regarding the issue but you respect that she also has a right to her opinion. Japanese people are so much cooler than us anyway. Have you seen their style? or their architecture? or their TRAINS?! i mean, their super-fast trains alone are enough to make me want to live there. and then there's anime. which is beyond rad.

and Trains? LMAO,do you see how many get crammed onto that train? I'd rather be in and ugly and comfortable train and a cool but cramped one.

And going to school without any type of break isnt cool,but you can go over there and do it if you want.so summer vacation,no holidays,no such thing as a weekend break..nothing.

I can see why she'd think that, but I seriously doubt that theory. They show the same shows in Japan. And they air the shows here in Canada, in Australia, in the UK and other countries, too.

I agree with you. You aren't stupid, of course. It's pretty lame thing to say but some people are just that convinced for a time. That's like calling someone stupid for hating some song that is so cool to the person. Most of the time I tend to ignore things like that because everyone has their preferences. There are things I find that are so awesome and yet someone else will say they suck and oh well; that's their preference. Of course, if more people would stop judging people based on what they like or don't like, the world would probably be a better place. Something like an anime show, movie, book etc...these just aren't things to really fight over and I am always amazed at how some people really want to press on about the stuff. It really is trivial.

 

America's youth today is all about Music,T.V,Video Games,and the Internet...do you think that without all these things our generation would have been more grateful and thankful for what they are so lucky to have?..

Cause thanks to that Fangirl..I'd have to say yes,though I only wish that kind of punishment on people like her..

DN has its own Paparazzi for petes sake XD..It's only a T.V show people,it may be good,but it's just T.V..

I can see why she would say that but the Japanese are not as sensitive about that stuff than we are. Plus I think that anime is made for an older audience.

 

I'd say you're being rather unfair, Tularim, considering you came to a thread where fans of the series were discussing it, and then decided to flaunt around "LOL GUYSZ, I WATCHING THIS SHOW AND, HAHA, IT'S SO BORING IT MADE ME LAUGH!11!", and then compared it to a series you prefer like "LOL WHY CAN'T IT BE FUNNY, LOL, LEIK HARUHI, MAN THAT SHOW WAS AWESOME! ECKS-DEE xD"
