I'm basically saying I don't need evidence to believe. I didn'tmean fight for it like that- I just meant stand up for it.

Not everything, but we are on our way to understanding the inner workings of the world around us. But science can't explain everything, like what happens after we die and other "philosophical" questions.

My plan is to beleive in one god for now and when teh day comes when I die, I will try to see which god is real and before I pass away, I will pass the message. This is my plan and I will try my best at it.

Religion is basically just the name of what your stronger beliefs are. Like Christianity, Buddhism, Atheist, ect. No one is forcing anyone to believe in anything, or else that'd be going against our free wills. Though back in the much older times you would be forced into a certain religion or risk death, which was very uncalled for.

I'm personally a Christian and I use my belief in God to help me when I'm down, I can understand why people are atheist or don't believe in God, especially in today's world where hope is nothing but a quick spark for some or a life long road to others. I also enjoy making myself a good Christian, but accepting everyone. I don't judge anyone by their appearance, race, sex, sexuality, ect. But a lot of people now a days tend to use religion against others and hold it above their heads and try to make themselves seem better, when they're actually the opposite.

Religions are good for people who have strong faith, but bad for people who use them as labels and try to get away with things while the whole time using their beliefs. Like what happened to me once, I have many gay and bi-sexual friends, but they're still very close friends to me no matter what. One kid in my class had the nerve to ask me 'How can you be friends with her? She's an atheist.'

So I stated back, 'I'm a Christian and I believe God wants us to accept everyone and not judge. You are not being a good Christian.' Since I knew he was one, he had no come back and left her alone and still to this day hasn't said anything more about it. But religions are your own choice, wether you believe or not is your own choice. I live life by saying God gave us free will, he didn't want us as puppets, so we make our own choices. I know I'm probably sounding like I'm preaching, which sorry if I am, but religion is a very strong subject for me, not a touchy one, but one that I know what to say on. But basically like I said before, it's what matters to you, no one else. Religion is your own personal choice.

Exactly. To try to explain a supernatural entity by natural means is impossible.

This is obvious. Things based on philosophical terms aren't meant to be solved by science. The world has its mysteries, true. There are plenty of preternatural phenomenons around us and we see it every day. There are certain "miracles", let alone I, even scientists cannot explain what they are [and this is where religion comes in]. Mystery is a necessity in this world. Mysticism is required, otherwise this world and life wouldn't be all that interesting... we'd basically lose all purpose of being here. We are here and we struggle through the days, weeks, moths, years... our entire life to try to make sense of this place and its mysteries. Even most of what science is based on assumptions. Religion and their beliefs merely take these assumptions and give us a thought or an idea of what it might really be. Just like the ancient civilizations who named many deities in order to explain the falling water from the skies, the glowing trees and the moving earth and mainly life and death. This is where religion started from, just us hums making assumptions and guesses of what we are and why things around us happens. We've moved ahead of all that, and many things in this world now can be answered by science except for the 2 most popular subjects. LIFE and DEATH. Science explains what they are, but they cannot explain where the consciousness will go after this.

Religions provide the philosophical aspect of the world while science next to it works day and night to figure it out instead of just stating some radical expiation. Religion may explain what it really is after death, but even the religion or its believe isn't 100% accurate. Many believe we'll just disappear while others believe that the soul will be reincarnated, then there's those who see their souls reach the floating castle in the sky with the golden gates. Regions are here to just guide and keep us in line. They no longer explain the phenomenons around us for we now what they are. Many of the religions and their beliefs are nothing more than a bunch of rules and radical expiation of what's next.

    hmmmmmmmmm

cool, although god comes like a thief in the night, you can't plan things out not knowing the future. Not that i'm saying all plans are failures, just do our best now, when tempation is thrown at you from every direction.

A devote, non-devote Christian....wow. Don't mean to mock at all, what you said is a totally christian view of things. Good for you. And i totally agree about the labeling part......but some people are down right evil, and you can't just forgive anyone and everyone....k?
