Well I got bored yesterday (seeing how I didn't have internet and I had to study for finals next week) so I decided to draw something. Apparently, something in my head told me to draw Aqua. So that's wat I did.

Unfortunately, it was real late at nite when I did this (around midnite to b exact) and I had to go to church REALLY early in the morning so I tucked in early...

The only crits I have is that the shoulders slope down a bit too much and the hair flow is a bit off. Otherwise it's great.

    Really cool =3.

The shoulders do slope a bit too much, bring them up slightly. It would help alot to draw her face and hair from a picture of her as a referance. Spikey hair is tricky to draw, so try to loosen it up a little and closely follow how it's drawn here. The same goes for the face. This is the best picture of her I can find that fits the style you've drawn her:

Otherwise it looks good, keep it up =]

Not too shabby, all things considered. I agree with what was mentioned with the shoulders, and I'd like to mention that there are no eyebrows (but you also said it's unfinished, so, I assume you knew that already). If you'd like, I can try and send you a few pics of Aqua from the BBS movie clip so you can get a better look at her hair, but you'd have to wait a few days (I'm at a different comp. right now). Looks good so far.

Truth b told, I never intended to draw Aqua in her original clothing or armor. I just wanted to incorperate some creativity...

    It's quite nice. I love the sketchy-ness.

She kind of has too much of rounded shoulders that kind of slope down. I suggest next time you draw a person that you observe your own or another's shoulders so you can get that straightness of it. Her face seems kinda flat. Use a bit of shadowing and connect the head to the neck better. Her neck is also almost impossibly skinny.

    Good job, though.

That's cool, but some references can help get certain features (hair, eyes, etc.) right and make the drawing a lot cooler. Not dissing your intentions or anything, just clearing a few things is all.

That's some memory! Every time I try from memory it turns out...less than impressive.

    thx for the compliment.

Anyways, the only prob I have rite now is coloring. For some reason, I'm color-challenged which is one of the main reasons I never finish some of my graphic arts...

To answer that, one of my friends on DA usually starts with a black and white shade before adding any colour at all, so maybe you should try that? It should help to add depth to the picture.

Also, very nice drawing of Aqua. :3 (sorry for being uber late with commenting) The others are right regarding her shoulders though, it gives her an expression that looks like she's stressing. Which she might be. You have a very good memory, but it's completly OK to use references during the first tries.

very nice.... I like your style this one is like the namine one you drew. I like those sleeves you make .... I have one suggestion though the hair looks sorta wierd so you should tilt the hair on the left side too.

Wait...scratch that...I LOVE Aqua. Both her name and the colour. It's my favourite.
