    Master Baldinort's apprentice was given a name in a new scan from VJump. His name translates to Vanitas, which is Latin for Vanity. Discuss.

    I feel that I should note Vanitas can also translate from the Latin to "emptiness", "nothingness", or "worthlessness" along with "vanity" which I already mentioned.

    After the unveiling of the master Eraquxs in the latest issue of Shonen Jump, it's the turn of V-Jump to make his small lot of information on Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. Indeed, a page of the magazine devoted to the PSP game which appears the words "What is the purpose of Vanitas ?"We can discover the name of the hidden apprentice of Xehanort. To recall, the apprentice is the character that you can see dressed in red and black, helmeted and armed with his keyblade.

    The bottom of the page tells us more about the game board for the time appointed "Command Board"Allowing the player to move to learn skills and competencies. Different characters encountered during the adventure will lend reinforcement to our three heroes to complete this plateau and gain even more power! It also appears that some cells can trigger special events, but the magazine does not state what these mechanisms.

    I like that Square is using latin names for this one. Anyway, vanitas is vanity or emptiness, which could prove the theory that he is just a shell like Repliku.
