Anyone else fed up of...

...real people, in mock clothes, acting like an anime character =/
Such as Sora or Syaoran. it's alright if it's like once a year (like Megcon) but inn their spare time???

Oh, like when people create cosplays in their spare time and take pictures?
I'm not annoyed if I like the cosplay, but people whose cosplay doesn't even come close is who I'm annoyed at.
As well as those videos in mock clothing that have 'fight scenes', yeah, I'm pretty annoyed at them. =/

 

Personally it doesn't bother me, at the end of the day each to their own and all that jazz. It doesn't have an impact on me or that much of an affect if people want to cosplay and dress up.

I have never liked cosplay. It strikes me as an extremely shallow attempt to be someone else - someone who doesn't even exist, and who can do things no normal person can ever do. Want to impress me? Make full 3d renders of the actual characters doing things (Like we would see in the game/anime). Playing dress-up in costumes is for little girls and Halloween, IMO.

 

It's not my cup of tea but I'll shrug it off when someone else does it.

 

Not really, unless someone does an absolute horrible job cosplayin'...like many of the cosplayin' population. Most folk aren't bad in my eyes so i don't really care.

 

lol, funny video, though I didn't feel like watching more than one minute of it. It depends for me. Some people can make themselves look exactly like the character, and that's always cool to see. but other than that, If it is not Halloween, I'm like grow up. lol

 

I don't mind that. Actually I think that is pretty cool. I love to cosplay and I find it nothing wrong with doing it in your spare time, but as long as its not all the time.

It don't bother me at all.

It's their spare time, and they can do whatever they want with it.

 

Now, don't get me wrong - I do enjoy swinging a wooden sword around (it keeps me from getting too fat), but I don't dress up to do it, and I don't make a fool out of myself online while I do it, and I certainly don't tell people about it (except here, of course).

you think you've found what you are looking for, and you've been searching for an hour or 2. You have found the ultimate battle, apparently. but then ya find out, it is some guys in a costumke that is fighting patheticly...

im gonna have to agree with you here, shining... i mean, its fun to cosplay at conventions but all the time just to be "Cool?"

I think it's just fun and funny. Good cosplayers, who put a lot of time into their outfits, actually kinda impress me.
But the videos they put on youtube, meh, they're just having fun and I never watch them so they never annoy me.
If that's their cup of tea then so be.

 

I like crazy people. They're fascinating.
Thus, they can dress like Sora all they please. But put up a couple more boards on the window, they're not ready for proper human interaction yet.

 

I disagree. I could easily shoot down other people's hobbies that you might consider normal. Like track. Why is it entertaining for people to run around in circles? I don't understand it, but other people enjoy it, so why hate on it?

Speaking specifically about cosplaying, I think it can be pretty cool to see someone put time and effort into making themselves look like a character they like. And it's fun to make fun of the really bad ones. :'D​
