I would like to know if anyone here finish their newly released video games in a day or two or more like a week. I finish many games fast in less then a week. I finished both Fatal Frame 1 and 2 in just 2 days. It makes me sad really, all that time and waiting for a game to come out then finished in a few hours or the very next day. I have way too much time in my hands especially on times like Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring Break.
My friend had told me he could finish a Final Fantasy game (even XIII) in just 2-3 days without dying and using cheats. I don't believe him but I don't want to be up all day and night watching him play to find out.

Anyone else who has finished a game a few days or on the same week as when you got it? What game would be your fastest finish?

Final Fantasy games aren't all that hard once you know what you're doing...actually, even if you don't they tend to be not that hard anyways. It's doing all the extra stuff that takes awhile. So beating any FF game in 2 or 3 days is entirely plausible.

I've beaten plenty of games in an extremely short time frame. Shooters for example are notorious for having short campaigns.

I'm actually the exact opposite, it can take me months to finish a game. :x I don't think there's any real reason for it. I would say that the fastest I've ever finished a game was Primal, which took me probably around two weeks, but it was a relatively short game. I was expecting it to get really good the whole time so I chugged through it. :v

I just don't always have the motivation/ability to sit down and play a game. Something always distracts me.

    Yep

I beat Blades of time in 3.5hours tops wow that game is short, but really fun. Would have been two, but I kept killing myself at times during those dash jumps -,-

NFS Undercover PS3 4.5 Hours(Any street racing game I'll destroy. I love those games so much it bores me when I buy it because I know that day I'll beat it in 3-5 hours.)

Saints Row The Third I wanna say 5 hours with all the freezing and finding a game so I wouldn't have to make another profile to get the other achievements, and the DLC that came with the season pass, but if DLC missions don't count 4-5 hours tops.

Uh let's see, Pokemon Diamond took me 7 days in a row, Pokemon Black took me 7 Days in a row, I started Megaman Star Force: Pegasus yesterday and beat it today, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney took me 5 days cause of the stupid 5th trial. Basically for me if a game is interesting I'll just concentrate on it, that's how I know how good a game it is, if I can't stop playing it. I have many games I've yet to beat just because I got bored. Oh yeah I beat the 3rd Birthday in under a week as well. These are just the one's I can think up off the top of my head.

The quickest game I have ever beaten to date is Arkham City. Picked it up on monday at midnight, had it beat wensday night. Then I can beat pokemon games like there nothing in a day. The scott pilgrim game was 2 days. I can do multiple speed runs of kingdom hearts 1. I think I can do two playthroughs of kingdom hearts, maybe a third in a day.

I can be fast or slow it depends on the game, and my objective in the game, specially trophywise.. normaly I go in a medium speed as I am trophy hunting i try to get'em in the first playthrough, but some thropies can make me spend mor hours than in the game itself.

Ah, I wish I am more like you. I don't have much to do around the house or things to procrastinate with. I just keep going as the game progresses. Most of the games I buy now days are Silent Hill or Fatal Frame with a wide world to explore and no matter what I do I always get the game done in a few hours or the very next day when I thought it would slow me down a bit >_>

Quickest game I've finished (if you can call it a game) is the first Rugrats game on the PS1, thing took me an hour first try and when I was done me and my mum looks at each with a 'Is that it?' look on our faces, but I did just finish Corpse party last night, after getting it on Thursday night, but if I'm playing an RPG, I take my time because I like to level up a lot

It's possible to complete FFXIII within about 3 days but you've got to be playing it basically for 3 days straight. I completed it in 4 days when it came out and I was, as sad as it is, playing about 9+ hours a day. But that's watching all the cutscences. Skip all of them and you'd do it a lot quicker since XIII has about 7-9 (Can't remember exactly) hours worth of cutscenes.

Games like Uncharted, Assassin's Creed, Zelda etc, I'll play and complete within a few days. I get so engrossed in the stories that I feel I have to complete it as soon as possible. Then I'll replay them later and take my time to get everything.

I believe it has 13 hours worth of cutscenes. Thats what I meant by "I don't want to be up all day and night watching him play to find out." Lol

Well, as Sanic says, gotta go fast.

I myself usually take awhile to finish a game. I would rather follow a guide and get everything the first time through and not have to go through again because I screwed up my first playthrough.

I'm kinda speedy. I once completed T3B in about three-four hours. Shortest playtime for completing a game must be about...3 hours, and that was for Pokemon Link. Once completed Red Rescue Team in about five hours.

I like to take games real slow though. I guess I was just rushing through them.

Games I love will be finished in a few days.
Some games I end up rage quitting, just to return them in the next few days.
I usually have 3 few games going; each one from a different generations of gaming. (I like variety)

    Games I'm playing now include;
    Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations,
    Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun,
    Spyro: Year of the Dragon,
and Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past

    Depends on the game.

The main storyline of Skyrim was finished swiftly.
Halo: Reach co-op Legendary was done in one sitting overnight (6-7 hours)
Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations was done in one sitting, only a few hours - easy storyline.
Saints Row the Third was finished fast.
Portal 2 in one sitting, same with Co-op.

As said, really depends on the game and how much I get into it (and how much time I have)

I usually finish my games in about a week or so. I try not to finish them too soon, I like to savor the experience and make it last. The fastest I've ever finished a game was in 7 hours, when I played Call of Duty 4. I was pretty disappointed.

People accuse me of rushing a lot in video games. If they ever made a KH game where you can fight each other (which there is because it's the GBA original of CoM) I would be able to beat you flat. xD
    It's not my fault there is nothing to do in the outside world and have a lot of free time ;_;

I like to rush through a game and get a basic understanding of the storyline. Then do a second, slower playthrough, making sure i get all sidequests/storylines/achievements. I just don't have alot of money to spend on video games lately, so I honestly can say I haven't played a new game within the past year. I'd probably still do it the same way though if I were to buy a new one.
