Total win. You really are getting much better. And you saved in PNG! People seem to keep forgetting that. And you're one of the few beginners that looks like you actually applied the gradient to the picture rather than turn the whole thing into a gradient. Anyways, on to the sig itself. The pentooling looks smooth, but you should have it do something like interact with the focal point more. Try using C4Ds that flow with the render too. Make sure you add lighting so that it looks more realistic. Very good job though.
did you use this tut just without the stock http://www.gimptalk.com/forum/lil-scrappy-signature-tutorial-t30515.html sig: well i think you used too many Visible C4Ds the colors match the pentooling is pretty good i see you added glow to it, but not very good glow here is how i do it Duplicate the pentooled layer 2 times so that you have 3 then on the bottom one gaussin blur it by 8.0 set it to addition or screen the middle one gaussin blur it by 17.0 set that layer to addition and on the top gaussin blur it by 4.0 set that layer to addition over all it was a pretty good sig i would rate it a 8/10
I actually duplicated the pentool layer 3 times, so in total it would be 4 layers. Then I left the 1'st layer on the top alone, the second one I gausined blured it at 10, the 3rd one at 20, and the 4th one at 30 and put them at screen. Then I merged them together and colorized them.
CnC time! =D CnC: Good signature. I've never seen your other work, but I'll trust this is your best signature yet! Although it is good, it can be better. The signature has a 'burnt' look to it. I haven't made signatures in months, so I have forgotten the names of the tools used to make them. But, it looks as if you have too much contrast or something. Another thing, the stock isn't blended in with your background. Add more depth with more layers. Take away the 'burnt/dark' look and add eye-catching colors. Sharpen your render and make it stand out more. Overall, good work. =]
