This time at Knudson Lumber. I think it definitely went well -- at least better than McDonald's since I wasn't as nervous. Should know by early next week if I do get it. That's why I just got online 12 minutes ago. Had to get ready, take my mom out to my aunt's, and then come back for the interview.
I've lifted 80-pound bags of grain and horse feed helping my aunt before, so I'm good. My groin area was left sore a couple times from doing that, but nothing major.
But did you do it over an extended period? That's when problems tend to arise. Most people are fine the first little while, but end up with some big problems after more time has passed.
Unless you are up for intense manual labor for an extended period of time, it is an incredibly bad idea to even try. Sure you can lift "X" amount, etc but can you do that for hours and hours? I'd say look somewhere else unless it pays a pretty penny, which chances are it doesn't.
Starts at $10 an hour, which is great for me since I'm still at home living with my mom who's paying the bills. I'd be able to take over a bill or two.
I think that if you pass the interview stage, you should give it a go, at least for a few months in order to get some experience on your resume.
