Okay. I know I have no right to suggest ANYTHING to this site when I took such an epic hiatus away from it. But coming back, I realized that, yeah, I do care bout this place and would love to help it avoid any future conflicts that I can.

Now, when I came back, yeah, there was the whole big stink with Rosey going around... She was mad that three of her good friends were so suddenly taken from such a high post and demoted to... well... Normal members. I'm not a mind reader, but I'm guessing that part of the reason she was so upset was because it was like we were saying that they never really contributed anything - like we were forgetting them or something. That would make anyone who's so attached to her friends upset.

So I was thinking, maybe we could recognize all of the former staff members with... IDK... another beautimous color? X'DDD Maybe orange, since that one's not being used right now? They don't have to have any sort of special powers or anything - it'd just be a nice thing to do... ;w; They'd be almost like a second prem group.

I got this idea from DeviantArt who does something simular with their staffies. I thought it'd be nice to try it out over here, too.

It could be like a retired group, I suppose.

I actually am going to have to disagree, mainly because there are actually a hell of a lot of ex-staff who are now just members :v

Plus then you have the confusion for new members as to whether this colour is a staff or some kind of weird user group.

I have seen it done on other sites, in fact I think KHI have something like that?

Besides, if a staff member is demoted, there is obviously a reason for said demotion and I don't think that should be rewarded.

No. They aren't special. They don't deserve their own color for quiting or failing at their job.

O fuk. I kinda fail. =C Black, then? But, no - that might cause issues for future layouts... Hmmm...

Oooooookaaay.... =C But I still think we should do SOMETHING. After all, I'm pretty sure that the good that most staff members have done would outweigh the bad of whatever got them demoted. Unless, maybe, if you're Roxas. Besides - if you decided that there was too much going on, and decided to quit maybe a year or two in the future, I'd certianly want you to be remembered, CtR. =C

I'm sure that all former staff did something good while they were staff.

Also, all the colors are explained at the bottom, so they wouldn't be any more confused about ex-staff than they are about prems.

They don't have to have anything special other than the pretty name. You could even make two seperate groups for them with the same color so that prems would still have premium priveleges, and norms would still have normal restrictions.

Maybe they could get the pink that prem used to have.

Yeah - I know. Prems get benefits for just posting at least 1,000 times and getting lots of rep. Staff members do lots of good for the forum and work hard, so I think that it's not too much to ask to have them stand out - even if they decide that maybe the job is too much for them to handle and have to back out. Not honoring ex-staff members would be like not honoring important generals in WWII and going, "Oh, well, they died\resigned from the army, so they're no better than any other soldier in the war now."

It's not like that, it's more of the fact that if Staff have been demoted, it's from lack of being not as useful, or causing problems somehow.
And if you get recognized for that; then people would be causing havock.
I agree with CtR and Trigger.

What's the point for having a whole other color for the Admin/Staff to add?

Well, if they cause problems, that's understandable, but it's not like we're recognizing them for getting demoted or something - that's a HUGE overstatement - it's more like recognizing them for all that they HAVE done to make the site a better place while they were staff.

    Once again, if a staff member has been causing problems like abusing their power or messing the site up repeatedly, then of course they shouldn't be included in this, but c'mon! Even DeathSpank - the guy who made this site - isn't even distinguishable from any normal member of the site! Doesn't that seem just LITTLE weird to anyone besides me? O.o;

I don't think that being a little less useful is enough to just completely forget about a staffy.

Yes because making TWO new user groups for the same thing isn't messy at all.

As for the colours, people still don't pay attention to them.

You honour the dead, but someone who is fired or quits hasn't died. If the good of a staff outweighed the bad of a staff, then they wouldn't have been demoted.

By quitting they make the decision to remove themselves from staff, thereby removing themselves from the association of it too. Those who quit do so off their own backs. If they wanted to remain associated with the staff then they shouldn't quit.

    I'm not backing this.

In which case that would be causing segregation, you would have to decide which staff were worthy of having said name colour and that in itself would only cause further drama and arguments because different people have different opinions as to which staff were any good or not.

Also, DS is still an admin, he just never comes here anymore, besides he sold us and ran off.

We do, but nowadays we don't really get many people confusing one group for the other. I don't think I've seen such a case in a long, long time.

Not that I'm necessarily for or against this suggestion, just elaborating.

    Money.

Makes the world go round and all that.

Regardless, yes, he's kind of making it harder for the other staff to run this site then it should be.

    Uhhhhhhh.

Regardless of what you think this site is or stands for, spdude IS a website entrepeneur. He buys websites, lets them grow, and makes up for his investment in ad revenues. It's what he does.

I'm not defending spdude's lack of concern and dedication to the site, but the fact remains he did buy it for the money he thought he stood to gain from it.

XDD. So he isn't gaining that much money? Atleast from khv?

Ehm....Dark link. If spdude didn't have us, then KHV wouldn't be able to pay for itself...the server costs money. So even when he doesn't really come around and makes it a hardy job to run the site. At least he pays, and that's way more than what most people are willing to do here.
