Anonymous threatens to destroy Fox News on Guy Fawkes Day

He was, but you said that Anonymous doing it was a rumor, and I said that it was less than such; it had been more or less disproven as a concept. Your text could have been taken to say, "We can't prove anything," rather than, "That was just something that someone said, and we have evidence to the contrary."

 

Only 5 more days to wait! >.<' I really can't wait to see the outcome! D: The government has been in control of us for too long and we must rebel! I'm so glad that Anonymous is finally taking action! I have been waiting for them to strike at news stations and government controlled areas in America! We must assist them in the long run or soon or amendments will be taken from us even if we strike. We need to rebel now or they will continue to strip us from our rights! As Americans we must do as our eldest leaders did Fight against what is constricting us to grow! >=O

 

This is the kind of thing that Anonymous laughs at. Sorry, kid, but it is a little more political than just rebelling. Go join the occupation protests if you want to change something personally.

 

I mean rebel against them because they are restricting us <_< if you don't rebel and fight they'll just chew you up and throw you away. and like at wallstreet say nothing is happening and that they are confused about what they want. It sounds rather naïve of you to say it like you did. Anonymous is not about rebellion, this is a political move and its aim is to change peoples' minds, not attack some company. Its target is the program's viewers, not Fox News. Counteracting and spreading propaganda is not rebellion. You might be using a different definition that I don't know about.

It is an action that is rebellion; when an officer tells you do something and you do not, even if threatened with violence. Civil disobedience at the least. That is how I use it.

 

So I just remembered the Facebook thing that was planned for the 5th, so how do they plan to do that? Are they going to do it on the same day, or cancel the Facebook thing? These guys gotta plan these things out a little more

 

"These guys" doesn't mean anything. The Facebook video was uploaded by another user. I stand by my statement that it was a fake, and unrelated.

 

I don't believe they are going to attack Facebook, I don't think that fits with Anon. That wouldn't be a statement, that would only be to fuck with people. Though they do mess around with people, I don't think they would bother taking on Facebook, at least not until Facebook abuses (more than they already do) personal information.

Wow, that's one way to get your point across. I don't know if they are a just a vengeful dictatoship now, that destroy anyone who speaks against them and their ideas. And aren't they suppose to be fighting for free speech and information and such?
