Anime Conventions

Dressing up as anime characters isn't weird. It's the people who make it weird.

Dressing up for a convention in itself, is just getting into the festive mood for the event. There's nothing wrong with dressing up if you're going to act like a 'normal' person, instead of like... being incredibly delusional and roleplay for the entire day thinking you're Gaara, or Kenshin, or Yagami Light.

I had three costumes for the last con I went to. I was AC Cloud for day one, went more simpler on Day two with just a black Uchiha shirt (high collar and Uchiha fan symbol on the back) and Sharingan contacts (just wore regular khaki jeans and black sneakers), then Syaoran from Tsubasa Chronicle on the last day (green cape, black sleeveless shirt, etc).

It's just fun to get into the mood and dress up, it's not a bad thing. It's people who ruin the point of it.

 

I'm going to one I think... like i don't know when though. *PLANNING*
never been to one though.

 

I've been two 3!!! Two of them were the very first ones in my state and the other one was in California. I'm planning on going to another in the summer. :D

 

Well... I guess there are SOME weird people at these conventions... mainly the staff and a bunch of closet perverts...

I heard from a friend that went to last year's ACen that they showed hentai and other porn in one of the hotels or something at 1AM on a Saturday... (0____0)...

Somethings just cross the line with things like that... and maybe the YURI/YAOI paddles and spankings too...

 

WHat is the closest thing to Gillette, Wyoming? Also, what is the best costume as a keyblade master for a chubby kid?

 

I have never been to one but i would love to go, they sound kinda cool. :D

 

I'm going to Anime North 2007 this year.

- Reprising my AC Cloud
- Casual Uchiha outfit --- but I'm going to wear Sharingan contacts ;)
