"Do you want me to take a look at your ankle? Make sure it isn't broken?" he asked, holding out his hand.

 

Leah smiled. "Don't tell me you're a doctor, now..." She said and giggled, taking his hand, gently.

 

"No, but I do know the difference between a sprain and a break." he said. "My brother got hurt alot as a kid."

 

"Ah, I see..." She said, softly. "I can't tell if it's broken or sprained. Either way, it hurts..." She laughed lightly. "I'm so clumsy, sometimes."

 

"A clumsy vampire." he said, chuckling. "Who would've thought." He reached for her leg to examine her ankle.

 

Leah shrugged. "Hey, everything's not always what it appears..." She smiled. She gently lifted up the leg of her pajama pants so that they could see her ankle. She winced a little. It was somewhat swollen. Leah couldn't tell the difference.

 

"Hmm." he said, examining it. "Can you try moving it around?"

 

Leah moved it a little and winced.

 

"Well, you can still move it fairly easily, so it's not broken." he said. "I think it's just a sprain. You might want to put ice on it and keep off of it for a while. Oh, and nice legs, by the way."

 

Leah couldn't help but blush. "Thanks..." She said and smiled. She gently kissed his cheek. She then reached over and grabbed her bunny, setting it in her lap.

 

"That's a pretty old bunny too." he said. "Who gave it to you?"

 

Leah looked up at him and smiled. "My sister gave it to me as a Christmas present when I was four," She said, looking down at the toy and playing with it's ears.

 

"I see." he said. "It must be very special to you." He got up and sat next to her.

 

"Yeah..." She said softly, looking down at the bunny with a somewhat sad and angry expression. "I thought I'd lost it forever..."

 

"I see." he said, putting his arm around her waist. "Well, it's a good thing you've found it."

 

Leah stared down at the toy. "I'm not sure how it got in my suitcase, though..." She said, hugging it close to her and burying her face in it's soft, furry head. She leaned her head on George's shoulder, thinking.

 

"I have no idea." he said.

 

"Hmm." Leah looked at the stuffed bunny. Then, she suddenly threw it across the room, burying her face in her knees.

 

George was shocked. "What's wrong Leah?" he asked.

 

"I don't want it," She said. "The secrets hidden deep in your heart can never be forgotten, but simply blown away by the wind..." She muttered.
