kaila looked at elena in surprise. she had been teaching at the school just as long as everyone else, so how is it that there could be something going on and that she should be doing as a teacher, but was unaware of it.
"what do you mean elena?"
the other teacher hadn't been there as long, which was another reason as to why she was so surprised that there could be something going on, but yet she wasn't in the loop.

tori listened to kiel as he talked. he sounded so sure of himself and his laugh became almost as if it were engraved in her memory.
"that's strange. i've never heard anything about seraphims or many archangels. i've been told the same stories ever since i was little, so it feels weird hearing something else."
she watched him play with the apple.
"i would be proud if i was named after an archangel. they are supposed to be protectors and helpers. that is a good question though. i mean we know where the original ones came from, but do more still appear? or are they all gone now? are they born into their positions or are they just blessed with it now?"
tori sighed as she picked at her mashed potatoes, not really in an eating mood.

 

Kiel returned a friendly smile to another student and dropped his apple as Uriel suddenly stood, "Dinner is over. Return to your dorms. A few nighttime rules...do not wander outside in the dark. When night falls, you must be within the castle gates. If any student is found out of bed after curfew they will be punished. Disobey my rules three times and you will be expelled...or worse...dead." Kiel stifled a chuckle, "Dead? Now they're threatening death...how original."

Elena smiled, "I'll show you. Come with me." She tugged on Kaila's sleeve and led her outside.

 

tori gave kiel a smile.
"well i guess this is where we now depart?"
she stood up to walk away.

kaila gave uriel a help me look and then turned to look at elena.
"all right, you don't have to pull."
she stood and went to follow the other teacher.


schuyler jumped up eagerly and skipped a little towards the dorm rooms she had come from.

 

Uriel gave them a stoney gaze and drifted off to her rooms.

Gabriel lifted one eyebrow at Elena dragging Kaila off and shrugged, "I guess she had to learn someway... Just not this way. She loves Ren."

Elena hurried with Kaila outside and to the edge of the forest that surrounded the school. "Watch." she pointed to the trees.

Ren's form bolted up from the trees, his midnight blue wings open wide as he flew. The bones on his bracelet jingled and glowed before transforming into a bone sword that was harder than steel. Something dark and almost shapeless flew up after Ren. Glittering white claws slashed upwards and scored across Ren's leg. "You asked for it...You got it!" A crack of thunder sounded in the sky as a funnel of dark clouds formed over Ren and blue lightning seared down from the sky and set whatever he'd been fighting ablaze.

 

kaila couldn't take her eyes off ren. they were glued there without control. her complexion began fading to a white as she watched what happened. her throat dried up as she tried to speak.
"i-i...i don't un...derstand..."

schuyler entered the dormitory eagerly awaiting the rest of the girls she would meet.

 

Ren's form dropped from the skys and into the forest again, limply.

Elena covered her mouth, "Come, we don't have time! I'm sure Ren is hurt. The night shift shall belong to me if he cannot continue tonight."

Kiel snatched Tori's hand and kissed it, "And I await tomorrow to see you again."

 

kiala didn't move. She stood there frozen and confused.
"what is going on with ren?"

tori blushed when kiel kissed her hand and then smiled at him.
i'm sure you will.
She turned and walked towards the tower that had all the girls dorms.

 

Elena pushed hair out of her face and impatiently tugged on Kaila's sleeve, "Oh, please hurry Kaila. Ren is mainly in charge of protecting the school from the creatures that dwell in the forest surrounding here. Surely you knew." Elena's soft voice insistently probed her.

Ren's back hurt from hitting the ground and his ears pricked, listening for anything. A branch snapped and Ren's head shot up. "This isn't my day..." Beady orange eyes appeared in the darkness before him and Ren scooted backwards, dragging his injured leg. The creature snarled at him, it's tone low and irritated. Chuckling under his breath, Ren braced his back against a tree and spread his wings. "Honestly, it's sad when your kind tries to attack a history teacher." Water gathered in his palm and increased steadily.

Bio: Rita doesn't remember much from her younger days. One day she was in her bed, thinking about her future, and then she was suddenly taken away after her powers revealed themselves whilst she was attending Piano lessons. She has few friends and is often left out of many things.

 

kaila's jaw dropped. She didn't know what to say. The truth hurt to much. She didn't honestly know ren at all, as much as she liked to think she did. She bit her lip to hold back the tears, but they were rapidly starting to brim over the edge. That's when she turned around and ran towards the builsing. After she picked up speed her dnow white wings spread apart and started flapping. She flew off towards her room. the tears blurred her vision and she ended up hitting her wrist on a branch, snapping off her bracelette that she received for christmas a few years back. The bracelette was made of saphires and she never took it off.

Getting up from the table, Sora made his way to his room, still hearing what Uriel had said.
Being expelled or death. They're either trying to scare us into obeying the rules or tempting someone to sneak out. He thought wonder if anyone would try atempt a sneak out.

Gregory stood up quietly. "Threatening death..the minds of the weak intrigue me..thinking they can scare me? Good luck" he said quietly to himself. He walked over towards Elena and Kaila. Maybe it's time i stirred things up, he thought coldly with a sly grin at the corner of his mouth. His wings, folded underneath his shirt, yearned for freedom. Soon....soon.. he thought, attempting to calm the pain he felt from cramping them up.

 

Elena sighed, "Oh, Kaila!? Great..." Elena hurried out into the forest, a bolt of lightning struck at her feet and she murmured to Ren, "It's me, Ren. I've come to bring you home." Dragging him up and towards the school, Ren constantly moaned.

 

schuyler made her bed and had most of her belongings put away before the other girls arrived. normally she would be very eager to socialize and get to know everyone, but since she had yet to see her brother, she felt a bit uneasy. schuyler decided to keep to herself for the night.

tori wandered through the corridors aimlessly. since she arrived so late, she didn't really know where anything was. it took some time to figure out how to get to the right tower. once she was there, she decided to take a room on the second level of the dorms.

kaila entered through the window in her classroom. she slammed the window shut once inside and hurried back towards her room. when kaila was in the safe surroundings of her bedroom she broke down. it was hard for her to keep it in for as long as she had. after a little while she finally collected herself with a long breath. what she had seen didn't make any sense and what made less sense was how she didn't know about it.

Elena carried Ren back to the school and tucked him into the infirmary. "Stay here. Please, Ren, I won't have you going out again tonight. Their strength has increased...we need to ask a Seraphim to allow us to use more of our Heavenly powers. Oh, for goodness sake, would you please, clean this mess?" She gestured to the piled books and dust coverings over the furniture and shelves overflowing with ritual things.

Ren chuckled and relaxed his body. "I'll try to take your advice to heart, Elena. By the way...you didn't bring Kaila out when you came for me did you?" He watched her glance away and let out a frustrated moan, "For Heaven's sake Elena, she doesn't know about what we do! Uriel made that quite clear when she introduced her here. Ugh, I hope the Seraphim get here fast...they'll be able to explain to Kaila...and to the students..."

 

kaila changed into her silk pajamas and pulled her hair back into a loose fitted bun. she took a deep breath and then pulled the covers back on her bed and crawled in. nothing was making sense so she decided to go to sleep. it wasn't until she was under the covers that she realized that her bracelet was missing. a lonely tear escaped from the thought that it was gone. possibly forever.

 

Diane had turned, but james was gone. "I don't think he was there. Thanks anyway." She had turned and left up to the dormitory, when she realized she hadn't eaten. "Oh poo, now I've missed dinner!" her stomah gave a huge growl. "..." She was easily frustraed and could've cried, but didn't. She then entered the dormitory, and ran into that girl that had seen James. "oh, Hey.." she thought for a minute. "Sorry, I didn't quite catche your name."

James entered the dormitory and dumped his stuff o the bed. "I hope no one is in here along with me... I'd hate to have to share this room." he decided to fall asleep. After all, no one would disturb him.

 

schuyler stood up, noticing who had run in to her. It was the girl diane from earlier. She smiled.
"oh hey. My name is schuyler. Did you ever find you're brother?"
She sighed at the thought of this lirtle girl not being able to find her brother, since she herself coyldn't find her own brother.

 

"No I didn't. I turne to where you said he was but he was gone..."She was slightly sad and just wanted to find her brother. "What about you? You seem like your looking for something." she looked at her. James is missing, and its been over a year... i hope I can find him soon...
