Angelic Divinity

Kiel opened his mouth as if to suggest something and Genesis frowned and growled at him, "Men don't have guy's night. That's only for close friends. I'd hardly call you my friends." Kiel shut his mouth and rolled his eyes at Genesis' pessimissm.

Jean stood up on her tip toes and kissed his cheek, "Alright, we'll do something later then." She scratched at her cheek, "Okay then, I guess I'll take you up on your offer. After all...the only friends I have are Summer girls...and they want to be around the angels all the time."

 

tori smiled at her enthusiastically. genesis was still being a jerk, but she ignored him and tugged on jean's arm.
"awesome! let's go then. we'll see you guys later."
she interlocked her arms with that of giselle and jean and gave schuyler a nudge with her foot.

schuyler reluctantly said goodbye to penny and followed after the rest of them. this had been her idea, but now she wanted nothing to do with it. more than anything, she wanted to see her brother. to go talk to him and see if he had remembered anything. nothing about her brother was adding up at the moment.

tristan watched the girls leave and shrugged his shoulders. the air was tense between genesis and kiel, which just made things awkward. he stood near penny and eyed the two angels.
"so ugh...now what?"
he ran his fingers through his hair nervously.

kaila sat in her empty classroom with her head resting on the wooden desk. her life was falling apart around her, everything she had worked so hard to build was just crumbling. soon she would be left with nothing and there didn't appear to be anyone trying to help.

 

Genesis shook his head, "Now you three go do whatever you want and I'm going to go find my friends." Kiel pasted on a mocking smile, "You have friends? Gee wiz, I didn't think they allowed angels to have imaginary friends in school." Sparks flew as Genesis glowered at Kiel. Penny lifted a hand, "Oh c'mon guys...can't we work this out peacefully?" Both of them glared at Penny, "NO!" they growled in unison.

Soft soled shoes tipped lightly into Kaila's classroom. "Well hi there, sweetie. You look down in the dumps." Elena stood barely a foot away from Kaila when she stopped. Her green eyes were bloodshot and her hair had blonde highlights now.

 

Tristan set his hand on penny's shoulder and shrugged. he stared at the angels anxiously. whatever was between them wasn't going away any time soon.
"i think we should just give them time to work out there issues."
he turned away from genesis and kiel, shoving his hands in his pocket and kicking at a rock on the ground.

kaila lifted her head, still slightly dripping with water, to see elena before her. she attempted a smile, but it just quickly morphed into a frown.
"it hasn't exactly been an ideal first week of school. i like your hair by the way."
she noticed how bloodshot elena's eyes were and wondered if things had been going sour for her as well. kaila was sure eyes looked just like her's, or possibly even worse.

tori pushed the door open to her room, smiling. her room was rather empty, except for the disheveled bag on the floor. she hadn't done anything with the room since she had nothing to put in it until now. the bed still sat there unmade. she had left in a bit of a hurry after yves visited her, not taking the time to clean up.
"welcome to my humble abode."
she walked over to the bed and sat down in it, noticing giselle head for the chair in the corner. tori couldn't help but wonder what was always wrong with her. she barely even seen a smile on the human girl's face since she arrived at the school.
"so giselle...it's your birthday right?"
only a nod. tori shrugged and let out a small groan as schuyler sat down next to her. giselle appeared as if she were going to be a lot tougher to crack than anticipated.

 

OOC: Now that I'm back for good, can i get a recap?

 

Penny frowned at the two and followed Tristan. "So you never did tell me what happened between you and that Jone girl last night. You seem pretty out of it."

Elena smiled sweetly and flipped her hair over her shoulder, "Oh this? It's not important. You know you can talk to me. I'm always here for you sweetie." she turned on her heel to leave and what used to be her scent of wild flowers and herbs was now smoke and blood.

Jean stood awkwardly beside Giselle. Giselle was the only other human there and angelic girls made her uncomfortable. She admired their beauty...it looked as if they barely took time to make themselves presentable to the world. Giselle was normal..plain..like her.

 

tristan sighed and looked at penny smiling.
"for the last time, it's jean. nothing happened last night. we just slept. this morning on the other hand, was a different story."
he pretended to zip his lips shut and winked.
"that's all you're getting out of me, but might i make a suggestion? ease off of schuyler. it's obvious she isn't comfortable with this kinda stuff. pressuring someone only makes things worse."

kaila watched elena turn to leave and debated letting her walk out of the room. finally, she opened her mouth before elena reached the door.
"i'm going to die...and be ripped of my powers and wings...ren doesn't know who i am and the only way i can get him to remember again is if i go with kryios to the hotel. at this point, i don't even really feel like trying anymore."
she sighed and zoned out on a spider dangling from the ceiling by the window.

schuyler laid back on tori's bed silently. she wasn't really in the talking mood.

tori looked between everyone and frowned. she slammed her fists down on the bed exasperated.
"come on guys. i'm sure there's something for us to talk about. i mean..."
she sat there looking defeated.

giselle could see how frustrated tori was and even though she wasn't the one to normally pipe up, she decided to help.
"the present kingsley gave me, it was a picture of the three of us. right before your family moved."
it was directed at schuyler, but she told it to everyone.

 

Penny sighed, "I figured as much...but I don't understand why. N-not the whole...I shouldn't pressure her...but I can't ask my friend how things went? I can't get a simple 'It was good Pen'. Women...." He fell silent for a while. "Do...erm...you think Schuyler's friend Giselle and her brother being here are making her edgey?"

Elena stopped, when she turned around her face was solom. "I've heard as much. I didn't want to believe it. Sweetie, don't believe everything you hear about the hotel. I've been there a few times. If you simply stay out of the dark corners and by the right people, it's quite enjoyable."

Jean rocked on her heels, "We'll that's nice of him. Say...Giselle...could you check something for me..and the other Summer Girls? Your protector Genesis Rhaphsodos...d-does he...actually have scars on his body that have things written in them?"

 

tristan shrugged with his hands in his pocket and let out a sigh.
"it's a possibility. Maybe you should try talking to her about it. She is a girl and they love talking about their feelings."
He gave him a quirky smile and nudge him with his elbow.
"it was amazing pen. The most incredible sex i've ever had."
Tristan smirked and gave penny a wink.

kaila shook her head in disaproval.
"i'm not going as a guest. I'm taking the place of the humans they usually feed on."
She sighed and rested her head on her hand.
"i don't see the point in trying anymore."

Giselle looked up at jean confused.
"oh. Um..i donna know... I guess I could try and...look."
She squirmed in the chair a bit uncomfortable and avoided eye contact with the others.

schuyler sat up, remotely interested in the conversation. She looked over to giselle and jean, listening to them talk.

 

Penny cheered and hopped around like a puppy, "Well atta boy! Damn, Summer Girls must be something special." He looked around guiltily, "Of course Schuyler's something special too. I haven't had someone scold me like that in years, yet...she still looked pretty damn attractive while doing it."

Elena nodded and paced around the patch of sunlight on the floor...never in the light. "I see...well...you could find a man named Jesse and ask him to make it so you don't remember that night. Jesse takes a lot, enough to knock you out, but you won't have the urge to vomit the next morning." Touching a finger to her lips, she smiled, "Our secret, okay?"

Jean frowned, "I'm not asking you to sleep with him. I'm sure if you ask, he'll show you. Well...actually don't quote me on that...I know Summer angels won't mind...Dark Court angels might be a little touchier."

 

tristan laughed and patted penny on the back. he ruffled the younger guy's hair and smiled.
"well maybe it's a sign or something. I wonder what they're doing."
He sighed and started to think about jean some more.

kaila gave elena a small smile and nodded.
"okay. I'll take that into consideration."

giselle nodded slowly and stared at her feet.
"he seems awfully...reserved. And introverted, like more than me."
She sat there picking at her fingernails.

 

Penny shrugged, "Best guess...girl stuff. That Giselle girl...she seemed pretty upset over a lot of stuff. Oooh, y'know what we should do? We should spy on them! C'mon...what if they're having pillow fights!"

Elena nodded and took her leave. Outside Kaila's room, her eyes slitted and she chuckled, "Too easy..."

Jean grabbed Giselle's hands and knelt in front of her, "If you want...I'm sure one of the other girls here or myself would be willing to ask him. Just to get you started."

 

tristan laughed some more and raised an eyebrow skeptically.
"do you even know where they are? 'cause i don't."

kaila sighed and sat back in her chair. she stared at the stack of papers on her desk and frowned. after everything that happened, grading papers was the last thing she wanted to do. kaila set the stack in a basket to the side of the desk and stared out at all the empty desks. her days as a teacher were limited and as much as she wanted to enjoy them, it was nearly impossible.

giselle shook her head and looked between everyone.
"no, no. it's okay. i can do it. i'll ask him later and let you know."
her phone started ringing and she pulled it out of her pocket, seeing the caller i.d. giselle frowned and pushed the end button to make it stop ringing. she shoved the phone back in her pocket and grimaced.

"everything okay?"
tori smiled at giselle, who seemed bothered. she was rather easy to read and her powers made it that much easier.

 

Penny shrugged, "Buddy, if I knew where they were, do you think we'd be having this conversation in the front yard? Maybe one of the 'Le'ts fight' twins knows." he jerked his thumb back towards Kiel and Genesis who hadn't moved except towards each other.

Jean frowned, "What was that thing? It made a lot of noise. And now it's made you sad."

 

tristan glanced back at kiel and genesis. he grimaced at the angels and then looked back to penny.
"do you really want to get in the middle of that? 'cause i'm not asking them. i'd rather be alive the next time i see jean."
he raised his eyebrows and shrugged.

giselle looked up at jean confused. she didn't know what a phone was? it was odd since she was human as well.
"you mean my phone?"

tori caught a peek at what giselle was thinking and smiled sadly at the human girl.
"it was your mom wasn't it?"

giselle's eyes moved to tori on the bed. she was surprised at how she could know that.
"y-yeah. my parents aren't home that often and they promised to make it back this weekend. they came home...and i'm here."
her voice had quieted to a whisper and she looked like she was about to start crying. giselle buried her face in her hands.

"we could have a party. after dinner. i mean i really wanted to get caught up on all the homework we're behind on...but a party would be fun."
it was the first thing schuyler had said since they walked into tori's room. her eyes were focused on the wall, not ready to look over at giselle. eventually she would have to talk to her, but she didn't know what to say. i'm sorry we moved. that my family is a bunch of angels and so we couldn't be friends anymore. that your life has been depressing ever since. none of those things were pleasant to hear or ideal to say.

 

Penny's shoulders drooped, "Oh, um...yeah, I guess not."

Jean snatched it out of Giselle's hands and examined it, running her fingers along the plastic. Her eyes grew wider as the screen lit up. She lifted her head when Schuyler mentioned a party, "Yeah, a party is always fun! We could have music and food...and lots and lots of dancing!"

 

tristan glanced back at them again and then pulled penny close. he whispered so the protectors wouldn't hear.
"we could uh...go look. you wanted an adventure right? that's kinda how we ended up here after all. it'd be pretty funny to see how long it takes them to realize we're gone. they're supposed to be babysitting us or something right? i wonder how much trouble they'd get in if they lost us."
he smirked and gave penny a wink.

giselle watched jean play with her phone and then grimaced at the idea of a party.
"i don't uh...i don't really dance. or party..."
she swallowed hard and went back to staring at her hands.
"nobody has ever thrown me a party before."

schuyler sighed and there was an annoyed look on her face. she looked at giselle, covering up the look, and attempted a smile.
"your pessimism matches genesis's perfectly. it'll be fun. just relax."
she glanced up at the clock on tori's wall and smiled.
"i wonder where we could have the party at."

 

Penny smiled and stuck his tongue out at Kiel and Genesis' backs. "Let's do it! We'll find the girls on our own. Who needs angels to show us around." He headed towards the school's doors, "I'm positive the inside of the school can't be more confusing and dangerous than that forest was." As soon as he opened the doors, the floors shifted and the stairwells changed (like in Hogwarts). Penny's expression grew grim, "Oh...this might be a problem."

Jean set the phone aside and pulled Giselle to her feet, "Who cares! It's not like we have to impress anyone. Just have FUN. Now...Tori and Schuyler can handle the where and I'll handle the music and food! What're Summer girls good for? Settin' up parties." She squealed and hopped around the room.

 

tristan watched the staircases move and he frowned. he remembered that his room was down the hall from them, but he had no clue if the rest of the bedrooms were in that direction or not.
"do you have any idea where to start? 'cause i barely know how to get to my room. jean was with both times i went there and i only found the rest of you this morning by chance. wondering aimlessly only gets you so far."

tori sat there thinking about a good place for the party. she figured parties were probably something that didn't happen often at the school and so any common room was probably off limits.
"we could just have it here. i don't really have anything, so the room is pretty big. i'm sure we could do something with it."

giselle watched awkwardly as jean bounced around the room. she wasn't prepared for any of this. everyone seemed excited about the idea of a party, so she put on her best smile and looked at them all.
"does anyone have something i could wear? or do my hair or something?"

schuyler walked over to giselle and grabbed her wrist.
"come with me. we'll get you party perfect for your birthday. it's the least i could do."
she dragged giselle out of the room and down the hall to her bedroom.

 

Penny snapped his fingers, "Just leave it to me. I've not a natural sense of these things!" He started off in a random direction.

Jean tapped her foot and frowned. "Um...Miss Tori...Uh...maybe you could help me out. Since...I chose Tristan over Keenan...I'm lacking a link to the Summer Court."

Kiel and Genesis glowered at each other for a moment longer before turning around, refusing to meet each other's gaze. "You don't have to be so stubborn. I'm sure that --" "I swear if you say, she'll come around, I'll kill you!" Genesis snapped and dug his boots into the grass as he turned to face Kiel. "You don't know anything. You got off easy. Tori starts school and Yves heals her up and you're there to be her knight in annoying armor. You owe your relationship to a dead Seraphim. I start from square one. Giselle isn't...she doesn't....need someone like me hanging around her making things more difficult." Kiel rolled his eyes, "Oh for crying out loud! You're so damn blind! You can't see anything beyond that huge, hulking mass of scar tissue you've accumilated. Can you?"
