Bio: she has always known that she was an angel. her parents told her when she was very little. tori always looked forward to the day that her wings would grow. one night after she had gotten them, her parents got into a huge fight (which was common since they were dark angels) and she ran away. tori didn't want to be like her parents anymore so she left to do things on her own. she was aware of the academy but felt it wouldn't be the right place for her so she ventured on her own until she could no longer fight the massive horde of beasts that had surrounded her. tori made it out alive but barely. that's when she felt that she should give the academy a shot. she wanted to change and no longer be a dark angel. on her way there she was attacked by a bird-like monster that scratched at her eyes with it's sharp talons.

Bio: her parents were angels of light. they sent her older brother to the academy two years prior and now they felt that it is her turn to finally start attending as well. she's excited to see the school that her brother has told her so much about and learn to better harness her powers.

 

OOC: Good. I like them. Hope you can keep up with all of them. I do not belive Magic's has been taken yet to teach so I'll allow it.

 

James looked shocked. " I wonder who's gonna teach us..." He looked up at Kiel. "Do you know who it's gonna be?" he asked him with a small amount of ferocity.

OOC: Can I introduce James's lost sister Diane now?

Appearance: Resembles James in the face a tiny bit, brown hair with pink highlights, Bandana with a heart that has an arrow through the heart, black and red shirt that says "RIP" on the front, Skinny blue jeans, about 5'0" and green eyes
Powers: Can control the emotions of others wether it's rage, hate, love or jealousy, etc.
Side: (Light/ Dark Will have an effect later on) Light
Personality: (they will change so it doesn't have to be definate) Optimistic, Girly, Loud
Bio: (your life so far....how you discovered your angelic powers, etc...) After her parents died and James vanished, she was found by two people who gave her a temporary home. She wanted to learn how to fight so when her new Guardians started training her, she started glowng and found that she was able to make people happier, sadder, angrier or whatever she wished. Her caretakers sent her to the acadamy so she could learn how to harness this new power.

 

OOC: Hm, I'll allow the emotion powers but just know that the teachers won't be affected by your powers.

Kiel glanced over at James, slightly disturbed by his ferocity of the question. "Hey buddy, I don't know nuttin'!" He continued into the school with Gabriel happily trailing after him. The teacher looked like a puppy following the boy. His large white wings fluttered briefly and he was suddenly hovering above the ground. Kiel growled, "Why are you so happy and following me!?" Gabriel chuckled, "I didn't know I couldn't be happy on the first day of school. I'm just glad to see these halls full with kids again. It's awfully boring around here without students." Gabriel glanced behind him to James, "Oh, you don't have classes today. Today you should get yourself settled into your rooms and have dinner then we'll allow a sort of roam around the grounds time."

 

OOC: Ok, she'll come in after dinner

James looked at them. "Ok." He wondered where the rooms where an he called out "Where are the rooms anyway?" He didn't care that much, but he wanted to stay here.

 

OOC: May I please have a recap on everything, where we are at the moment, etc.? I've tried reading the past few pages..but I'm completely dumbfounded.

 

OOC: well the teachers are inside the school and the students are free to choose their dorm rooms. Basically there's three rooms per level of the tower the students stay in and none are occupied at the moment. I will be making more characters in due time.

 

ooc: Sorry, I've been distracted by other things, it won't happen again. ^_^;
bic: Jegudiel watched as his room filled with with the last of all the papers. All but his bed and little table that sat infront of the window that gleamed over a near-by lake. He then heard Ren, "Why Biology Ren, did you forget after all these years?" he laughed as he went through the papers, and started to grab the work for the first day of the semester tomorrow. " You still teach History I presume? Or did you switch to English like you wanted to years ago.......Or was that the Magic teacher...... Hmmm can't remember.... oh well..." Jegudiel grab the small pile of worksheets and declaratives for his classroom, but it seems he couldn't grab it the rest by the table. "Hey, can you be a friend and help me with those posters and papers to the left of the table?" he said as he head for the door.

 

OCC: DSL is back on so I can post

"How the heck are we supposed to find the dorms in this place? Did the label them or something."Sora wondered seeing how big this place is. Unless they put some signs up around here.
"With all the stuff going on, this will be one interesting school year"

kaila landed elegantly on the roof of the castle. seeings how it was admissions day she didn't mind showing up a little late. dinner would be starting soon and she couldn't wait to take her seat at the professors table. kaila thought she'd give ren a little break by having this one day free of her. she would spend this day enjoying the wonders of the castle she has grown to love and when dinner came she would sit at the opposite end of the table. she entered the building through a door on the roof and headed to her classroom. since kaila had shown up late it meant that she had less time to prepare for the following days lessons.

tori had a fairly large rip in her wing from the attack. lately the beasts that she has been encountering have virtually rendered her telepathy useless. she can't read their thoughts or predict their actions. it was as if she had no powers at all. when she was fighting one bird-like monster another came at her from behind. she was completely unaware of it being there. tori managed to make it out alive, but barely. she couldn't see with her eyes, and her damaged wing made flying a challenge. tori had no one to assist her on the trip to the academy and although she managed to make it there, her entrance was anything but graceful.
she couldn't see and slowing down was difficult. the next thing she knew, she was crashing through a third story window. the sound of shattering glass echoed throughout the building. tori felt numb. the crash landing on the tile floor completely drained her. tori couldn't see, couldn't fly, and was pretty sure that she broke multiple bones in her body.

schuyler had entered the building eagerly with all of the other students. she was a know-it-all overachiever that always had a smile on her face. so it was no wonder that she had already managed to find the office, turn in her papers, and find the girls dorm tower. schuyler picked the first floor of the tower. that way she could get to classes quicker and when she would be done with classes, reach her room faster so she could begin the homework that was bound to come with it. she had already finished unpacking when she heard the crash. it was so loud she jump a little from being startled.
hmm...i wonder what that was.

 

Ren sighed lightly and grabbed Jegudiel's stuff, following him. "You sure do know how to hit it hard to a man. History will always be my passion here. Nothing better than remembering the old heros of our time and past events that made us who we are." He'd always revert to that in the end. He glanced up at a clock they'd had fixed recently and noticed the day was ending. Soon dinner... his stomach growled slightly, but Ren's indifferent expression never changed.

Uriel sensed Tori's distress but before she could move, the Seraphim disappeared and reappeared next to Tori. He lifted and cradled her head on his lap. His hands surprisingly tan for a man who wore a hooded cloak all the time with sleeves that covered his fingers. His words were smooth and whisper quiet as he spoke to Tori, "You're safe with me little one. Relax your mind and soul and allow me to ease your hurt." he waited patiently for Tori to aknowledge his words.

OOC: After all's said an done, who's up for a time skip right to dinner? It's eventful.

Kaila set up her classroom for the next day and then headed down towards the dining hall. On her way there she came across uriel just as the seraphim disappeared. She stopped next to uriel.
"What's going on?"

Tori tried to look up at the seraphim even though she couldn't find her voice, so she just nodded agreeingly. Tori couldn't feel her body, it was all just so numb.

Schuyler wandered through the halls eagerly. The academy was even more extraordinary then her brother told her. She was curious as to where all the older students were. All schuyler had seen so far were first years like herself. She also had yet to see her brother. He had only started one year prior to her.

 

Uriel's brown eyes snapped up to Kaila and she set her mouth in a grim line, "Welcome back Kaila.... Nothing....nothing at all." she replied stiffly and swept past Kaila and out into the hall. Her wings were nothing but a faint glimmer behind her. A strange power allowed her to hide them, but most of the other's didn't know what it was that gave her that power. Gabriel knew something about it and Ren probably knew, though he liked his own secrets where they were and didn't care about anyone elses. Uriel's thoughts turned dark as she thought of the Seraphim of the High Court interacting with the first years so soon as tomorrow. He could hurt them. His touch on their minds would be too superficial.

The Seraphim nodded, his hood rustling as it fell back, revealing beautiful honey golden eyes set in a well tanned face with thick black hair brushing his shoulders. Two thick streaks of silver were set at each temple. He smiled gently and set a glowing hand on Tori's head, sending healing energy waves through her. Though as her wounds and broken bones mended, it must've felt like he'd lit her on fire. No matter what, a Seraphim could not heal with no consequence. If he gave no consequence, he'd take the pain unto himself and he wouldn't be fit to teach tomorrow. "Try to keep calm and empty your mind. Your pain will be brief but it will show you are healing. I am the Seraphim of the High Court. If you can keep from screaming, I'll tell you my name." he kept his beautiful honey golden eyes on hers and tried to coax her into not screaming so he wouldn't alert the other students. The less that saw him now the better. His name....something he and other Seraphims kept secret from other angels including other Seraphim. It was a rare honor to be told the name of a Seraphim of the High Court.

 

Kaila watched as uriel hurried away.
That was weird.
She shook it off and continued down to the dining hall.

Tori bit her lip to hold in the pain and nodded. Agreeingly.

Schuyler eagerly entered the dining hall and took a seat.

 

The Seraphim's smile was gentle and sympathetic as waves of golden energy flowed into her. The energy mended her bones and healed her cuts. Each though feeling like it'd set fire to her wounds. As one wound healed and closed, the fire eased from that spot and cooled. The larger the cut or more serious the broken bone, the more excrutiating it felt. His tan hands remained on her head and one over her heart as he healed her and the Seraphim thought she reminded him a little of their Angel of Hatching. She wasn't one to take pain lightly but she bore it without a word and did her best to do as they asked. The Seraphim admired her and soon most of her cuts had healed and her bones were mended. A few more minutes and she was completely healed, besides her wing.... The Seraphim removed his hands and watched her cautiously with concern glowing in his golden eyes. "Are you alright?"

 

tori nodded.
"well, i've been better."
she touched her face and slowly opened her eyes. she had been unable to see for so long, and was afraid of being disappointed. if the rest of her body had been healed, she wondered if her eyes would be the same. it wasn't so bad though, she was able to use her telepathy to see through the eyes of others. in all actuality, it was like she was reading their minds and what they pictured is how tori imagined the world. it was all a blurry haze. hard to distinguish anything in particular, not quite blind, but as if she were staring through a camera lens that was super out of focus.

 

He cracked a smile slightly, "Your eyes are fixed too. When a Seraphim of the High Court heals, he does not exempt anything. Your abilities remain the same though. It is a good gift to be able to see through another's eyes...to imagine the world as they picture it. Tomorrow, when I teach I'd like you to test your powers on me." A rare opportunity, to use powers on a Seraphim.

 

kaila entered the dining hall and took her seat at the professors' table. she appeared to be the first of the teachers to arrive, although many of the new students had apparently already sat down and began conversing. they were clearly eager to begin their new life here.

tori closed her eyes really hard and then slowly opened them back up. it took a moment, but then it came. everything was in focus. it was more beautiful than she could remember, as if she were seeing for the first time. the pattern in the tiles on the floor and walls were all elegantly decorated and tapestries hung of heroic angels fighting fierce monsters. the windows gleamed with the evening sunlight coming through. the sky a pinkish-orange from the setting sun. it was all so magnificent. she was breath-taken.
"b-but how?"

schuyler had already taken her seat before the first teacher had arrived. she was excited to be there, but also curious as to where her brother might be. they left at the same time, but he had told her that the older students didn't partake in the regular entrance program.

 

The Seraphim smiled and helped her stand, "Your eyesight has been fixed because one of greater power and the will of our Lord has healed you. It is not apart of your destiny to be unable to see, young Tori." He lightly patted her upper back and pulled his white hood back over his face. Large white wings wrapped around Tori in a light, feathery embrace.

Uriel and Gabriel slowly entered the dining hall. They're eyes skimming over everyone. "Where is Ren? And the rest of the idiots...?" She sat delicately into her chair in the center of the professor's table. Gabriel sat next to her and smiled at Kaila, "Well hello Kaila. Aren't you supposed to be hanging off of Ren? I hear he's still dodging all the girls in the school." he smiled to himself at the lingering image of Ren hiding from the girls with crushes on him.

Kiel slumped into a chair. "Today...has got to end quickly."
