    totally random title.

Anyway, I'm making my wonderous Conformation tomorrow. </3

I have to wear a dress and painful shoes. It probably doesn't help that I don't believe in Christianity.

It's when you don't have to take those stupid religion classes anymore.

I had my Conformation in 6th grade.
And all I remember from it was that my dress was hideous.

My mom wants me to take them so that I can get married in a Church. She's Episcopalian, and I'm agnostic.

Do you want to get married in the Church?

Cause you know, confirmation is all about your decision not their's.

I hate parents that do this to their kids... You can't force a child to do something because the parent believes in it. If the child doesn't feel right doing it, then it shouldn't be done at all...

    *can't help singing "White Wedding"*

Yeah, I'm old school and like stuff like that. :3 My dad had to get married in this horrid church, since my stepmom never got confirmed.

I'm getting married in Hawaii. Hell yeah, unoriginal. But neither is a church.

This may sound a little strange but I don't believe in Christianity as a religion either.

People took it and screwed it up so much that I'm almost ashamed to call myself a Christian.

It's not about the stupid cerimonies (I actually had to ask my mom what a confirmation was XD), it's about a personal relationship with Jesus...

I'm glad that at my church we don't worry about the silly stuff like this, we just hang out and worship God...

Hmmm....so I take it you really don't want to get confirmed....have you tried letting your mother know that you wish not to?....or is she just trying to push her opinion and wishes upon you?....

    Lawl.

I was forced into Confirmation too. On the one hand they'd say it was my choice but then they'd turn around and say I had to do it.

It's just another stupid ceremony to get you more ingrained in the church.

How'd I know Mish's post was going to be something humorous than something serious like most of us.

I also figured she would put herself there somehow.

Lololololol Mish. I know your first name!
