You sense that Vivi and Neku seem very unhinged from these recent events. Before heading through the door, you attempt to scout them out in the darkness to comfort them.

Vivi refuses to look in your direction. His voice is shaky, and his brow reflects nervous contemplation.

Are- are you feeling okay?

His voice suddenly becomes charged and stinging.

Screw off! Do you think I look okay? Do you think any of this is okay? God damn it. God damn you and god damn it all. What kind of idiot are you to ask if any of this is okay?

This is ridiculous, really ridiculous. This isn't happening, is it? The mist, these- voices in the wind - everything! Every single thing. It's terrible. I- I can't think straight! Does that answer your question? I can't think straight! Nobody can!

... I- I'm sor-

|| Vivi ||

It's terrible! All of this is terrible! She died! Saxima lost her life here and we- we just left her! This is my fault! All of this is my fault! I killed someone! I'm a murderer! A bloody murderer! And you'll all die here too because I am a fucking imbecile who was never fit to be leader!

Vivi turns to you.

This is all my fault, kid. I've doomed all of you. I deserve to die.

Even in the darkness, you catch a glimpse of what seems to be a tear. Or at least you think so, if the mist is not playing tricks on you. Startling as well, since Vivi had always seemed one who never succumbed to his softer emotions.

But Vivi turns and runs off in the opposite direction, in the darkness. You hear a calamity from the other party members as they try and catch him. Krowley grabs him by the arm but he manages to rip it free. Misty, having heard all of the conversation, steps directly in front of Vivi's path. Vivi smashes into Misty and they both tumble to the ground.

Don't be an idiot, prick. We chose you as leader for a reason. We have enough trust in you, even if some of us don't always agree. Do you really think running off to die is something that the sane Vivi would do?

Don't blame yourself, Vivi. None of this is your fault. Now get yourself together so I can get off you and you can help us escape. You are our leader, after all.

Vivi gets up and does not say anything else.

You realize Neku is sitting on the ground in a ball, his knees close to his chest. In the darkness, it seems that he is staring blankly at the door.

You immediately jump to shake Neku.

Neku! NEKU! Wake up!

Neku's head turns towards you very slowly. His eyes are wide, and his mouth slowly forms a wide smile. It all seems very unnatural.

Neku! What's gotten into you?

Neku! Goddamnit! Stop it!

You shake Neku again. He continues to blankly stare at your torso with a smile.

Nothing's wrong. Nope. Nopenopenope. Nothing's wrong. Saxima didn't die. The voices told me. The voices are my friends. You should join them, friend. I can't even tell the difference anymore. But this is a dream. Saxima didn't die. Her body wasn't pulverized. It was a dream. This still is a dream. Nothing's wrong. Why would anything be wrong? Nothing's wrong. Don't worryyyyy. Nope. Neku turns upwards to stare you in the eyes.

It's all a dream, friend. This is a dream. Friends don't die in real life. Saxima didn't die. She woke up from the dream. We can all wake up from the dream like her. The voices are telling me this. Nothing's wrong. Nothing's wrong.

And if none of us cannot wake up from the dream like she did, I'll make sure we all do. Then we'll be happy right? Waking up from the dream like Saxima? She isn't dead, right? It's just a dream. Nothing's real here anymore. I'm not real. You're not real. It's all a dream. Saxima didn't die. Nope.

Commands​

You take a deep, shaky breath. Neku remains curled up, but you can feel his eyes following you as you move forward in the darkness. You're not doing to well at all right now, but you know you don't have time to break down. You only wish to escape. Every instinct in you screams for you to run blindly into the darkness, but you know that you're just being irrational. You have to stay calm! You have to escape! If not for your sake...

You shake yourself from thoughts of Saxima, reaching a hand forward. The carvings on the door feel cool against your fingertips. You take a deep breath, finding it harder to breath down here than anywhere else, before dragging your index finger up to where you assume is the beginning.
Due to your slightly unstable mental state, you can register nothing but curves and spirals a first. With a bit more focus, you begin to make out the carefully crafted letters...

Commands​

You briefly turn on the flashlight.

You can see your party members ... and you notice that some of them have eerie patches of dry blood on their clothing. Was it from the chandelier? You are not very sure. What is more, the mist is so very thick - you can literally see the beam of light emitting from the flashlight. It startles you, because in the darkness, the mist looks like a dark purple haze. It keeps shifting and swirling like the sky, or the ocean, and you swear for a few moments you see faces, but it may just be your imagination.

But through all of this, you really cannot tell what you are imagining from what is actually real anymore.

However, you really only get to see glimpses of your surroundings for a split second - and from what you can tell in the misty darkness, the walls seem to be made of both dusty marble and some sort of bloody, solid white substance. Suddenly, you hear a low call from the mist, strung together among the sounds of the wind. It seems to gradually decrease, as if it coming closer ... closer to you ...
