You take a moment to catch your breath. You're shaking like crazy now, and your lungs and throat burn. Even so, pull yourself up. You're having a hard time blocking out the memory of Saxima's voice so instead you search for a distraction. Your fingers brush up against the flashlight. You decide not to use it. Those...things may find you easier.

No one wants to admit it, but it's true. You need to move forward. As you trudge through the darkness, you all stay together, trying to make the least amount of noise possible. You're moving extremely slow, as you can't see where you're going. You decide to ask Vivi what he thinks now about this whole thing--and about the house.

「...I don't know. I'm beginning to think everything is true. The legend and stories. The haunting. I mean, come on, we're not imagining this whole thing. I just want to go home now. I just want to go home.」

He goes quiet and you drop it.

You keep moving forward. The darkness is sickening - as if it is a solid mass that exists all around you, filled with the thick mist and the strange waterfall noise that seems to grow louder and louder as you move further through the space. By this point, the party is silent. Not even Vivi is saying a word. They all seem terrified and frightened from the events that have taken place.

Eventually you contact a wall directly in front of you. There seems to be a door, but the doorknob is missing.
There also seem to be a few words carved into the door, at least you think - you cannot see them, and can only trace your finger on them.

But before you do anything, you hear a lamentable sobbing coming from behind the door. Is it a good idea to really try anything with this door ... ?
