Video AMV Help Thread

Go into the Windows Movie Make program, then when it's loaded go to File > Import into Collection then upload the clip you want to go into Movie Maker.

 

When it's done downloading do I want to click on open though or save?
Also when I go to file the only things there are new project,open project,save project,save project as,publish movie,import from digital video camera,import media items,new collection folder,project properties,empty and exit.

 

save it. after its saved go to import video and go to where ever you saved it at, click on it, and then go to open.

 

You want to save it, and then open it in Movie Maker.

And the Import into Collection should be in File.

 

okay got it. Now I just got the whole scene on there how do I use just part of the scene?

Well when it's imported into Movie Maker, it should already be broken into parts, all you have to do is find the right part and click and drag it into the timeline.

 

What do you mean it's broken into parts? When I upload it it's just one thing containing the whole scene.
oh are you talking about were I right click on it and click create clips?

 

You see Windows Movie maker breaks down the video into parts so it makes it easier for editting.

 

Edits: Last question. Since all the cli[s are copywrited when I upload it to your site is the only thing I have to do is in the credits at the end write all scenes provided by kh-vids.net?

 

So I am completely new to AMVs and I wanted to try it out.
Except, I dont know anything about them. =/
I did, however, read Darkandroid's advice on the first post.
And I understand it.. well.. most of it.
I also dont know where I can download any programs..=[
I guess you could say I'm completely clueless.
And dont know what to do on anything so I need MAJOR help here.
So.. basically, I just need to know everything.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, could you elborate 'what' you are clueless about?

 

Getting the programs mainly.
Im sure that if someone helped me get one.. I could figure out everything on my own.
The other night when I wrote that.. I was.. kinda freaking out about everything.

lol I know exactly what you mean. Okay first question do you microsoft movie maker?

 

If you have windows you already have windows movie maker, just go to start>search>and type in windows movie maker

 

I thought you had to have the wondows vista though. Well then you download a clip by clicking on a link on the side to filefront and click download then the thing pops up click save. Let it load then in movie maker click import media items or sumthin you get all that just ask what you don't get when your on. Or pm me.

Try typing this in your Address bar:


C:\Program Files\Movie Maker


Then double click on "moviemk".
