AMV help needed!

i need help. in collections whenever i open a long vid it loads all the clips and stuff, but the mouse keps showing the loading sign and then the thing says, 'Movie maker is experiencing problems and needs to close. we are sorry for the inconvinience.' what the hell do i do? the long ones are the coolest, but i cant open them. again, HELP!

 

Try pressing cancel right when it begins importing. (This will make the imported file one full clip.) It could be that your virtual memory is low.

 

okay, that worked with some. but when i try to import this 1 file it sAYS:

'The file C:\Documents and Settings\*****/My Documents/******'s work\My Stuff\35_-_The_World_That_Never_Was_1.wmv is not indexed and cannot be imported.'

the stars are the names i wish not to reveal.but anyway, what do i do?

 

It has to be imported from its original location. If things are moved around, the import will fail.

 

could you please rephrase? i havent touched anything. i only downloaded the vid, then tried to import. first time its happened to me, so im stumped.

 

What type of video file is it? .wmv? .mp4?
