Saule frowned. The concierge was smarter then he looked, unless he was not what he looked like, it was possible that the concierge was really the woman from the supermarket, only she was a shape shifter god. It was also possible the concierge was a puppet to a mind controlling god. In any case there was not much he could gain from him, but that would not did not stop Saule from trying.

"I imagine he would have used a pseudonym, he is very disliked by a local gang, and I doubt that he would risk giving his location to them. Why do not you just read who is on Miss Santos' guest list and I will tell you if I recognize one of his aliases?"

 

Mr. Wheeler steped out of the elevator and saw Saule talking to the concierge- just as Nikki had predicted.

Mr. Wheeler had to think quickly about how to resolve the situation without killing anyone. Finally, the idea occurred to him. Mr. Wheeler walked up to saule and started talking to him.

"Hey there, Saule. You're just the person i needed to see. We need to talk." And with that, Mr. Wheeler dragged saule out of the building.

 

The concierge watched them go and then rang Nikki, telling her of the events that had just occurred. Nikki did not trust Saule, though she did trust Mr. Wheeler. She had a feeling that Saule would betray her if he could benefit from it. Media kept her minions in need so that they would do anything for some small favour. Nikki's followers were well looked after, she saw to that. She abhorred cruelty, despite being an old god. Gods were unfortunately as petty and power grabbing as their mortal counterparts. She knew that Saule probably had guessed her name, but all he had was the name of a businesswoman, and could prove nothing. As long as she did nothing brash, he couldn't prove a thing.

 

Zaris then appered behind Nikki''

''u trust that sun god? he seems kindah kol to me I think he not gannah hurt us ^^''

 

"I don't trust him one bit. he looks like he would sell you his grandmother given half a chance. And you call me naive! The concierge said he was snooping around, trying to find out who I had staying with me. Even made up a phony person to search for, Badger Berkley. As if that isn't suspicious."

 

''who knos maybe that guy is real lets just see wat he'll do.....the best way to remove a trap is to fall into it''

 

"Well he followed us, and he now knows who I am and where I live. I think we wait and he'll turn up soon enough. What's this book of the dead you wanted me to look at? I hope it's not Jon's book."

 

''it seem to be his dad's book not for sure its ancient beyon ancient*givs Nikki the book and the key* thats the key to open it be careful it holds powerful undead spells''

 

"I have no intention of opening the book. I'll leave that lunacy to you. As far as I can see, Jon's going to be really angry when he sees the book is missing. Good luck. Annoying a death god is something I would think twice about doing."

 

''hey! I bring the guy business the least he can do is let me see his book''

 

"Unfortunately there are quite a few death gods, so I suppose they all owe you. I just control night and dreams. I can control desires and wishes, so killing people doesn't help me. I think you should argue this philosophy with Jon."

 

''just open it plz........for ur little bro?''

 

Before he could even register what was going on Mr. Wheeler was pulling Saule out of the building. "Hey . . . hey! . . . I was standing there," Saule said lamely. Saule continued to be dragged for quite a while until he decided that enough was enough and that he would have to extricate himself from Wheeler's tight grip.

This task proved more difficult than Saule had originally predicted, and in fact Saule had to pull himself out of his shirt in order to free himself, revealing the large scar on his chest.

 

Mr. Wheeler brought himself to a quick stop.

"Wow. Nice one." Mr. Wheeler was referring to the scar on Saule's chest.
Mr. Wheeler threw Saule's shirt at his feet. Mr. Wheeler only had to snap his fingers and his car had already stopped right next to him in the street. IT was like someone else was driving it.

"Get in." Mr. Wheeler proceeded to do so himself.

 

Saule picked up his shirt and put it back on. "Thanks. I think," Suale said refering to Mr. Wheeler's comment. "That is a long story that this is not the time for."

Saule started to walk toward the car. 'This is surreal,' he thought 'I am getting in a car with a man who just dragged me about a block and a half.'

"What the hell was that all about." Saule asked buttoning the last button of his shirt.

 

"Surreal? My friend, we are gods. Reality doesn't exist. I would say just about anything is possible for us."

Mr. Wheeler looked at saule and grinned as his car headed towards Hollywood.

"Now then, to the point. I'm headed towards the meeting, and the boss told me to bring you along. IT would be advisable to come and do as she says. After all, the meeting will probably prove to be interesting."

Mr. Wheeler grinned at his unwilling guest.

 

"IS SHE CRAZY!!?" Saule screamed, "She knows what those monsters will do to me if they see me!"

"Wait," said Saule, thinking for a minute, "You must be lying she would never do that unless I did something wrong . . . she offered me protection."

 

"That she did. After all, the whole purpose of this meeting is to be civil. It's not exactly civil to kill another god in front of everyone. And even if they changed their minds, you know for a fact that it would take a good portion of the oil gods to make a match for media.

After all, she needs people to help set up. That's why i'm going so early."

 

Saule was very nervous until his one of his favorite things in the world began to happen. The very first rays of sunlight began to show over the horizon.

"Okay, I'll go with you to the meeting, but I will not go like this. Pull over at the nearest clothing store so I can change into a disguise. Maybe I can pass as one of the coffee gods."

OoC: the "surreal" part was something I had only thought, you should not have known about it. And he can things are "surreal" because he is still a lot younger then you.

 

Nikki looked at the book with suspicion. "Why haven't you opened it 'little brother' or could it be that you're not powerful enough? I can open it with no problem, But what will happen doesn't suit my plans for now. Unlike you I trust that we will not be betrayed. I think Saule is in for a shock. Mr. Wheeler will turn his own fears against him."
