Nikki tried to ignore the ears. After all this was LA, and she thought probably it was some fashion statement. Probably not even real.

Where are you from originally? I'm from the Mediterranean.

She looked directly at him, seeing if she could get any more visions.

 

"Well I'm from Indiana."

 

'You're no more from Indiana than I am!' she thought.

There was something not right about Jon. She felt that he wasn't being honest and this had piqued her curiosity. He seemed non-threatening, but she still didn't quite trust him.

She started to sing softly while tapping her feet. This would normally induce the person it was aimed at to start having visions.

 

Jon secretly summoned an invisible Jackal mininon"Keep an eye on her until further notice."He whispered.

 

"It seems we're both not quite what we first appear."

Nikki stopped singing, relaxed and smiled. "Please come and join me."

So the visions had not come to him. He was no mortal. The question was simply who was he really.

 

For some reason the Minion couldn't even come near her.She is no mere mortal."So Nikki.What are your parents origins?"

 

Nikki looked at Jon and smiled. 'Checkmate! You win!'

"Lets just say I come from a very old Greek family. What about you, really I mean!"

 

"If you must know I'm from Egypt.If you know what I mean."

 

Nikki thought furiously, 'Egyptian God of the Dead, must be Anubis!'

Suddenly she became frightened. Anubis represented death and judgement. He weighed the hearts of the dead. She smiled uncomfortably, well that explained the ears.

"I'm more a night person myself, how about you?"

She wanted to see if he had worked out who she was and what she represented.

 

The Night God!Nyx!"Look,I know you've figured out who I am and vice versa,so drop the charade,Nyx!"

 

"Ok Anubis, but remember we walk among mortals" she whispered.

"So are you here to fight or to work with the rest of the old gods. There have been many disappearances of late. A war is beginning. I have survived by hiding so far."

ooc:OK,1.Jackel ears!and two I couldn't think of anybody else.

I'm only here to find someone and kill them.

 

"Perhaps I can help you. I see things others don't and I have power over darkness. Even Zeus and Hera fear me, for my father is Chaos. I command old powers. I feel it is better that we work together. Who do you seek?"

 

Mr. Wheeler had just about gotten to the mall entrance when his cell phone rang. "Mr. Wheeler here", he said as he answered. The voice on the other line spoke. "Oh, it's you. What do you want?" The voice on the other line told him. "ALREADY?" The voice on the other line responded again. "How many?" The voice on the other line spoke again. Mr. Wheeler cursed under his breath. "Alright. It shall be done." He was just about to hang up when the voice on the other line spoke again. "Thank you, but i should be fine." The voice spoke one more time, and hung up.

Wheeler smiled as he put his phone in his pocket, despite his ambivalent feelings. Three in Los Angeles already? It had been a while since he had seen any action, and Wheeler was always willing to have some fun. On the other hand, he was just about to eat dinner. "Thats okay", he said aloud to himself in a chipper voice. "There's always food, and there always will be. I ate a big lunch anyway. And besides, work comes first." And with that, Mr. wheeler turned around and walked back into the winding maze that was downtown los angeles, ready for work.

 

zaris then walks in the mall entrance.............

{three other gods are in this place........they could stop me hmph ill hav to watch out for that jon guy or he'll just be in my way........}

zaris just walked around the mall then he sensed that a man had raging darkness his his heart

''hehehhehehe''

zarax then whispered in his ear........

''u want revege......kill him hes been a neusience in ur life he wats to destroy u and everything u worked for.........do it to him first before he do it to u......''

then the man attacked another man in the store......

''my job is done here...........''

 

Mr. Wheeler hadn't gotten two blocks away from the mall entrance when the cop cars came rushing by. They stopped just in front of the mall. At first, Mr. Wheeler thought that it was unimportant, but then his curiosity got the better of him. He walked up to to one of the cop cars, and touched the hood. After about five seconds, a policemen came up to him and bluntly told him to go away. Mr. wheeler complied. After all, he had gotten the information he had wanted.

Cars were a lot like dogs to Mr. Wheeler. They didn't talk in a language that was coherent to people, but if you really payed attention, they could talk to you and you would understand. For instance, this particular car had told him that the police were called because somebody just went nuts and attacked someone else. Mr. wheeler was puzzled. [People don't randomly attack other people unless they're nuts, he thought. Something was out of place.

Someone had grossly overplayed their hand...

 

''lets see who else has a great amount of darkness in there heart........ah yes''

zaris then walked over to a women.........

''see that lady over there she thinks shes better than u..........she wats to destroy you so she can be on top........why dont u go do something about it..........as a mattter of fact get ur friends to team up on her.......''

then the women gotten her friends and attcked the lady...........

''this is to easy..............''

 

Nikki suddenly shuddered. It had begun already and she could sense at least one dark presence. They were both in danger, and though she owed nothing to the jackal headed stranger, he had not harmed her either. perhaps he was on the same side as her, or perhaps he was biding his time;she did not know which was correct.

"Please come with me, it is no longer safe here."

She looked at Jon and hoped that he would listen. Most of the old Gods were arrogant and would not listen to reason. She hoped he was one of the sensible ones.She knew little of the Egyptian Hierarchy, as like most she had been arrogant enough to think she was superior. But that was before the war began. Now she knew how vulnerable she was. Countless of her friends were dead, disappeared without a trace. No mortals cared, why should they. Nikki's primary driving force was staying alive.

"We must leave now!"

 

''hehehehehehehe way to easy well i guess now that the mall is in total chaos i can leave''

zaris then walked pass nikki

{another god? hmph hopefully she doesent get in my way......}

 

Nikki moved slightly behind a pillar. Another God, and an insane one at that. She was now scared. He was not the God she had initially sensed. This was getting far too close for comfort. This latest God was dangerous and she worried that he would destroy not only her, but also Jon, who had been kind to her. She would ally with Jon if he wanted her help. She was not by nature a warrior, but she could fight if she had to. She had fought before she had fled the last town.
