And it just so happens to be one of the best British sitcoms everrrrrr. T_T

    Article.

In case you didn't know, Spaced is a hilarious show, starring the actors of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz (Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Jessica Stevenson).

    I agree with this comment:

    ):

I would recommend the original series to anyone.

Mish, all your British shows are soon going to be ruined by America >=D

Well since it's got Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in it I may check it out since they are my favorite actors ever D:

    I loved this comment XDDD
"Edgar Wright is calling all fans of Spaced to call this "new version" McSpaced."

    McSpaced FTW XDDD

I do not find it very surprising that America is stealing, yet again, an idea. I mean, think about it. It doesn't really matter generally if the show is going to be 'identical' or 'similar' to another one. Why? Because if they can bring in the cash, they dont give a crap.

All british sitcoms suck anyway D:
    Nah, jk xD
I should actually check out spaced <_< You've intrigued me since it has Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.

Though hell, US will always copy other shows.
    Always has, always will.

Then again, I've seen many other countries stealing shows from the US xD

Only one I'd be really scared about is if they ever tried to bring Coupling to the States. I think "the giggle loop" would be lost on some of us Americans.

Sweet. I love it when we steal shows from the British. I'll probably watch it. Watch the British version. Laugh at both. But I think this time I will like the version from the UK better.(US The Office pwns) Cause I mean the only comedies that have lasted on FOX are Simpsons and Mad TV.

Little.. America? o__O oh gawd no.

And I think the British version of Dr. Who is already pretty popular in the states so there'd be no need in adapting that, lol.

But I don't see why America has to make their own version of shows. :/ I mean, we air the original American versions of sitcoms in the UK so why can't they? Instead of butchering our scripts and replacing our actors....

Although I can see why airing the UK Spaced wouldn't work, because most of the humour comes from cultural references that would make more sense if it were still 1999.. lol. This prompts me to think that they'll have to completely redo the cultural references thing.. and who/what would they reference? My guess is that the character Tim will play Halo instead of Resident Evil. xD; Oh and "Episode 1.3, "Art", features Tim (Simon Pegg) playing Resident Evil for 24 hours straight, having taken speed the night before. This later leads him to hallucinate that zombies are attacking everyone, which in turn led to the inspiration for the movie Shaun of the Dead (2004)." :3 [shamelessly copy/pasted from imdb].
