    - war in Iraq

    - hurricane rita

    - virginia tech

    - street pipes exploding

    - Minnesota bridge collapse

Is this a sign that america could be going under?

You can't blame the natural disasters since they are well...natural.

The other factors could be a sign, but it's just the times.

It's just a few catastrophes it doesn't mean the end of the world. Why now? Whats different about the time now? It's just a coinsedence nothing to be scared about.

Maybe, maybe not. Katrina and Rita were acts of nature, Virginia Tech happened because they didn't deal with the crazy guy before he popped.

I say that...no. This country will fall if we abandon the core principals that formed it all those years ago.

the hurricanes dont count, they were part of nature. i dont think america's going under yet.

you might have a point though. look at what happened to ancient cultures like the egyptians. they reached the peak of sucess around thier 200th year and then they collapsed. who knows, maybe this will happen to america. hopefully not.

But yes, if you are a religious person you can read a lot of thing God says but I won't get into that.

Theres always something to make the world ****ed. If it's not incompetence or insanity, it's bound to be something else. Since forever there have been disasters human and naturally caused. It's just how things work, unfortunately. The end was near since Nero's time and we still have people convinced it's near.

BTW anyone interested in picking up some ascension robes at a good price?(bad joke)

America isn't the shining beacon of success you all seem to think it is. America has far too much poverty for a developed country. The goverment is practically broke and a lot of the population can't even get their ancestry right! (GAH! ORIGINAL PEOPLE THAT CAME OVER WERE PROTESTANT NOT CATHOLIC AND IRISH PEOPLE DON'T WEAR KILTS!!!) The only thing that keeps America where it is in the world is it's massive population and size and their nuclear arsenal.

A few catastropes and suddenly we rush to conclusions about the End of the World? At the moment there have been millions of floods and thousands of Forest fires in Capholonia(sp?), Greece. America is not the worlds centre. I see where you're going though but nope, I 100% disagree.

You guys are crazy. America (and the world for that) is just changing. For some reason, some people seem to think that change is a bad thing. Oh, by the way Bunterx, America is in it's position for more reasons than it's massive population and nuclear arsenal. Stop being so ignorant. There's a reason why there's American soldiers stationed in every country of the globe, yet no foreign soldiers are stationed here. Deny it as much as you want, but there is no doubt that America has a ridiculously strong grip on the world, whether you like it or not.

I don't believe in the religious stuff about the end of the world. It grows old to continuously hear it because every 10 years when there's a 0 in the last digit of the year, people say the end has come and it hasn't happened yet. People have committed suicide to join the Lord etc. It's silly and sad people buy into that zealot crap and I wish it would stop. Natural disasters have happened forever and will keep happening if humanity does cease to exist. This world has gone through asteroids hitting it that satellites can view now, and we've had volcanoes, reshaping of the earth, tsunamis, hurricanes, etc for longer than humanity has been even been around to witness. As for political incidences, the world is becoming more connected and as communications are more possible and interactions transpire, as well as travel is so much easier; things are going to happen that are both positive and negative. People will act amazingly brilliant or be entirely biased and ignorant. Bad things will happen and so will positive ones. The world is in a state of stress, but eh, we'll get over it. Maybe more serious things will occur but it won't be because of the fabled apocalypse or end days or whatever religious people want to title it.
