It's a materia from Final Fantasy VII when Cloud has teh materia and delivers it to Sephiroth and it's a very evil materia.

Well it is a crystal like orb that has energy inside hidden and if a user uses it, it can unleash spells or summons.

in computers, sci-fi (although I only watch cool shows like Stargate and Dr. Who 8D), school (or at least I plan to be one of those annoying overachievers that everyone hates because they get A+'s in everything), and probably a couple other things I can't think of at the moment~
