You know I've been curious. How do store-bought and food places keep their cookies always soft, but homemade cookies end up being hard and brittle if you leave them alone for too long?

Hmm...I'm looking up the answer and some people say to add vanilla pudding to homemade cookie dough. Others are saying if you put the cookies in a jar, stick a piece of bread in there as well.

But I usually keep my cookies in the fridge, so I don't think either of those would work...
