Square-Enix Am I the only one that noticed this in FFVII: AC?

Kadaj was drinking out of the lake where Aerith died.

And then the kids drank the water.

And the water was black.

It apparently activated the Jenova cells.


What exactly is Square trying to tell us by this...?

 

That Kadaj's "cure" involves a more surpressed pain of Geostigma by Jenova's presence in the living Lifestream.

 

I noticed it, but it did't turn black untill after Kadaj stood in the water if i remember correctly.
