I don't have a problem with the sex as long as you're smart about it. If you take care, you narrow down your chances of anything happening by a lot. The alcohol I have a bit of a problem with. One drink or even two, depending on the person, isn't too awful, though of course none is best. Getting completely wasted is just abysmal though, and one night can screw up your whole life. Other drugs in general I don't agree with at all. Whether it's crack or even something as "harmless" as marijuana (which it isn't, by the way), no one, especially teenagers, should be using it (of course I'm not talking about those who have such drugs and use them with a doctor's prescription for medicinal purposes).

Teenagers having what? They don't even know what they have between their legs, let alone have sex. These are just fairy tales.

    ^This.

Also, like I said earlier, many (I would say close to 75%) of these kids bragging haven't actually done anything. They're just trying to make themselves sound cool by lying, especially in the earlier grades (8th, 9th). The ones who are telling the truth are just attention-whores.

There is truth in this post. I was sometimes one of those kids that lied, and I do admit to the things that I've done for attention. But I don't really talk about it anymore, except possibly with close friends.

And I swear to god, if any of you ever get a teacher that smokes pot, they will be the coolest teacher ever and you'll know it.

I agree, this is a bit ridiculous. My mother sent me to a camp and I spent the whole day in the corner shaking because I was 10 years old and everyone was talking about shooting people, raping people, drugs, and sh!t like that. I never went back.
I have no problem talking about sex, I mean, it's human nature. I have problems talking about having it, espescially in since we're middle school. I think teachers certainly should not instigate conversations about using drugs, or having sex, but having a conversation about current and very real events is okay. It's their job.

I agree with this pretty much. Besides this, a lot of the time kids like to say stuff to get attention or show off as well. What they say may or may not be true, usually showing their own insecurity about what they did and/or how they should feel about it...

Doesn't really bother me that much since I've grown up used to this kind of stuff. It only annoys me when you can tell who is the real drinker/druggie and who is just lying about it to seem cool. Every kid who I know does drugs or drinks doesn't go around talking about it. Every once in a while my friends and I will talk about any good drinks or talk about our druggie friend who has the best stories when he's high, but we don't go talking out load to everybody.

I saw this kid at a party who talks a lot of shit about how he's a hardcore drinker and gets wasted all the time, fucker was drinking water the whole time. I was like "bro why not get a drink?" and he's like "I don't actually drink" I got annoyed and walked away. The next day he's talking about how he was at a party and got shitfaced.

Wow! That is pretty creepy that teachers would join in. But your bedroom and other personal life should be kept to yourself. I don't know why kids think it's cool to go around bragging about what they smoked or drank, who they did, how they did it, how tight her this was, how big his that was...And on and on. In the end it starts rumors and only brings trouble.

Well gosh, people drink, people do drugs, people have sex. It's normal, well I wouldn't call doing drugs that normal but w/e.

I wouldn't call it WRONG to talk to friends about it occasionally, as long as they don't go flaunting it up in everybody's faces all the time. Now that's just annoying.

wow...i've never heard a teacher talk like that before...
but my skewl is very finnish, [nothing against fins, *backs into corner*] and the finnish people at my school have a VERY conservative religion, like they cant do ANYTHING at all really because it's against their religion. no television, skewl dances, dating, anything really.
but anyways, so i think if teachers were heard talking like that at my school they would probably be fired immediately.

i mean i hear those sorts of things all the time from students, the majority are just joking around but even still it does get annoying after awhile, but if teachers were caught talking like that, or promoting it by joining into the students conversation....things wud not go over well...

yea...i mean, i don't really care if ppl talk about it, it's just when someone like publicly announces to the world about wut thr doing in their free time.
or sit there and nonstop joke around things that are actually rather serious issues.

I beleive in Christian Morals such as Sex is a no-no beofre marriage.
Drugs shouldn't be illegal, just let them figure out the hard way it f*cks up your life.
I'm not hardcore Christian, I just grew up with these morals. Still am too.
