From Many, One by Tracy Singer (me) many become one when the one holds the gun point offing those who stand alone and venomized onset society back lit we really don't care anymore... my mind tells all no hint of alcohol on my breath or mint a single scent of broad day Molotov kills the way it's sent a clone of white far and bright as a single ray brings the night we all feel so at home... but we've never felt so alone... Her portrait known like daylight brings a sickle plow of deathly things alone we mock the stars above with distances no arms can hug and i am alone...
only the good kids fall on bad times worse times then this have been shaken you'll never redeem them only kick up dirt in these lungs... Chorus: (SO! GO! my demons were a hundred baseless wolves! sounds! keep me woken sleepless patient) i never remember the bad times sinking in like this...(i never remember) i never remember the bad times sinking in like this! (i never remember) so three cheers for the critically acclaimed they know its not a secret! i'll keep on moving till they faint! (chorus) i keep the best times locked in like a prisoner (x4) the only thing thats worse then this is a bad time you can't miss though you see it coming! regret is a *****! regret is a *****! (chorus) the devil tried to take my soul too proud to leave it for his gold then god redeemed but i let him go that old man was tired and broke so what if Satan fell in love with angels half as much as i love you... so what if god loved the devil half as much as i love you... so what if I hurt myself half as much as i love you... so what if you drove these nails in so much as i love you...
The Nobodies a heartless dream shadowed by the nature of light a key of hope to vanish along with our crest we dream in the darkest visions black & white until we reprieve with lights last rest so smile yonder distant soul a secret so vague to ponder and while we waste away our toils the only proof is squandered vague images do we trust to lead us through the night a heartless soul to captivate and lead us with its might only those who cherish it can ever hope to know the secret face of his supreme ever-darkening glow will we ever speak again only the no ones know... and can we ever dream again only the no ones know and will we ever love again only the no ones know... and can we ever smile again nobody let us know! so smile yonder distant soul a secret so vague to ponder and while we waste away our toils the only proof is squandered vague images do we trust to lead us through the night a heartless soul to captivate and lead us with its might only those who cherish it can ever hope to know the secret face of his supreme ever-darkening glow
MERGED. One thread per poet, as stated in the rules. If you want me to change the thread title to something more suitable (such as Xeitr's poetry) just go ahead and ask. As for your work: Your poems... don't really make any sense. I mean, sure- you can rhyme pretty well and you have an interesting vocabulary, but there was no way in which I could interpret your work. It seems as if you wrote down any old words as long as they seemed fancy and rhymed with the previous line. I think you really need to get back to the basics with poetry and think about the actual content of the poem before getting into rhyme, poetic devices and extended vocabulary.
don't try to pin each to a single subject...most of my poems are me talking about events in my life as they surface in my head...i'm not describing any one moment...its more impressionist then anything... Assimilation fascination living a bubbled indoctrination riddled with doctrines that are riddled with holes but then again, that's how life goes. a crest for the fallen dog tag named sadly our Fido lost the game a war for the wicked, to hell with the meek a pseudo-statistic held by the weak there's a million deny's and a thousand guesses but only a lie is held by the masses and what's lost is now found but can never be gained for the hope of our fathers lives never again there's a reason i told you i'd see you in hell there's a reason i said you'd never be well in a typical fashion, you've typically slain the hopes and dreams of you... never again...
SECRET FORMULA OF A WORLD GONE MAD You turned your face pale, and said you would not sell, yes! in the end you turned out quite a bill. We let go of empty pockets, and seize all that we know for in the end we all sell out to make things grow. So you thought yourself a martyr played god to a cause when really all the side effects were just band-aids and gauze. We look to the mirror and find ourselves cold cause no one really loves thyself ,and that parable is old. Due process is out with wicked men ,and christ reborn a simple sin. Stagger on ,you simple clout, on band-aids born of hope and doubt. We hold these truths to be a lie, all bad men will come to die, And we hold these men above our heads that even in death they are not dead. So which in folly ,and which in fact? A witch is holy , your brain is racked. The Hinterlands are paved with gold, though we all grow bitter, pained and old. Sit down now and let me recite the bland new taste of this worlds might. so that i may bring to light, the recursiveness we see in life.
