The Dog is not scared of anything as he owns a fort that is impenetrable.

TNT and Nukes have a vector. Therefore they are deflected.
A nuke however DOES have a slim chance of suffocating the dog after the explosion, but this rarely happens as most people die from the radiation or explosion.
Except the dog as he is in an impenetrable fort.

Effective or not, he bits you as you get close, therby keeping you at bay. Someone poking you with a stick may not be very effective in hurting you, it's doing a pretty good job at keeping you away from that person.

I dig underneath the fort, dig a hole into the fort, retrieve the dog whilst wearing a suit of armor, and take it out of the fort and sacrifice it, along with a gerbil, to the cat goddess.
