Alone In A Crowded Room

Mike walked outta his class and looked around in the hall

 

After running 10 sets of full-court suicides and 20 laps, Jenni was wore out.

"Well, at least the hard part is over," she said.

"That's what you think, freshmeat," one senior argued. "We've still got push-ups, jumping jacks, volleyball-"

"How do you play volleyball?" Jenni asked the student.

"Oh, don't worry," the senior answered with a smirk on her face. "Daddy'll teach you how."

Note to self, Jenni thought. Never trust a bloody senior, especially when they're the coach's daughter.

 

Mike walked by the gym and looked threw and notice jenni was in there

 

Jenni turned around and saw Mike in the window. She waved at him and began walking over to the door to let him in.

"And just where do you think you going?" Coach asked as he grabbed ahold of Jenni's arm.

"I was just-"

"This is P.E. right now, which means you're focused on your physical eduaction," he said. "Now get ready for volleyball!"

"But, I-" Jenni began to say.

"I SAID GET READY FOR VOLLEYBALL!" Coach yelled as he dragged Jenni to the court. "You can talk to your 'boyfriend' after class!"

 

Mike looked at the coach and thinks wow hes an a**hole he continues to look threw the window

 

Jenni put her kneepads on, wishing she could be like everyone else: have tons of friends, know how to play every sport in the world, have a boyfriend-

"Like that'll ever happen," Jenni told herself as she walked to the middle of the court.

"Okay, we're gonna divide up into 2 teams: freshmen and sophomores on the left side, juniors and seniors on the right," Coach said as he pointed to two different corners. "Now for those of you that have never played volleyball before..." he continued, looking at Jenni.

"British freshmeat!" the seniors coughed.

"You have three hits to get the ball over the net, and this is how the ball should be played: one person bumps, another sets, and one of the two front row people get to spike," he said, demonstarting each hit.

"Oh, and you can't hit the ball two times in a row," his daughter stated.

"Now, who wants to serve first?"

Everyone backed up, leaving Jenni all by herself.

"Ms. Akers!" Coach decided. "Go try your serve."

"But, you didn't teach us-"

"WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT EXCUSES?!" he screamed.

"Okay, okay," Jenni agreed before she got yelled at again. "I'll attempt my serve."

 

Mike looked on starting to get mad at the coach shut up u stupid a**

 

Jenni threw up the ball, stepped forward, started to hit the ball, and...

The ball dropped to the ground.

All of the students started cracking up.

"How could you miss that serve?" one senior asked.

"My dog could've got that serve over!" a junior exclaimed.

"Heck, she didn't even swing!" another senior shouted.

"Yes, I did," Jenni whispered as she fell to her knees, her eyes starting to water.

"Get off the floor and run 5 laps around the gym!" Coach demanded.

"But, at least I tried!" Jenni argued, tears running down her face.

"10 LAPS!"

"You didn't tell me how-"

"20!"

Mike walked in and says" jenni u dont gotta do crap" then looks at the coach " wat the hell is ur problem u didnt even teach her how to serve and now u punishing her for wat u didnt teach her wat the hell is rong with u man if i wanted to rite now i could report u to the principle and u'll get fired do u want that and another thing all u guys just because shes british doesnt give u the rite to mess with her just because u wanna be mean and jerks u'll never make friends being like that AND IF U GOT A PROBLEM WITH ME IM RITE HERE COME GET IT!" dropping his bookbag

IC: Why did you have to do that, Mike? Jenni thought. You're going to get us both expelled!

 

Mike looked at them and says" wat im waiting"

 

"You can't fire my daddy," Coach's daughter argued with a smirk on her face.

"That's right!" Coach agreed. "Now get back to class before I expell you and your little friend!"

Just great, Jenni thought. It's the first day of school and I'm already going to get expelled! I've never been expelled in my entire life!!!

 

Mike smirked and grabbed his book bag and says" u sure about that girl?" he walked outta the gym and walked toward the pinciples office

 

"Finally!" Coach shouted, turning back to Jenni. "NOW WHERE ARE THOSE 20 LAPS?!"

"I'm not running them," Jenni answered as she got up off the court.

"Don't backtalk to me!" Coach yelled in Jenni's face as she walked towards the door. "Where are you going?!"

"To the principal's office with Michael," she answered, gathering her belongings.

"You don't have the nerve!"

"Just watch me," Jenni replied, walking out of the gymnasium.

 

Mike was outside the door and says" i new u would come" and smiled

 

Xian looked over at the playgroud through the place she sat at. She was clueless, lost, bored and tired.

This is not what I had imagined it to be... She thought, dazed at the moment of smooth quietness. All of a sudden, a harsh shout came from a corner, and there stood an angry looking coach. She just gawped at the coach, and bringing out her notepad,she began to draw anime, ignoring the coaches jargon. On the side of her picture, she noted to self : Urge to run rising.

 

"Well, did you expect me to take anymore of the coach's sh*t?" Jenni asked.

Then she thought about what Coach said when she was going to open the door for Mike: "You can talk to your 'boyfriend' later!"

But she didn't have feelings for Mike that way.

Or did she?
