Alone In A Crowded Room

"Yes." he said, "She found your records and told me what was wrong with you. I'm sorry I got you all worked up like that. It's my fault you're here."

 

Her eyes got wide and she started to breath heavily.
"You know whats wrong with me?!" she gasped.

 

"Yes, please calm down." he said, trying not to get her worked up again.

 

She put her hands up to her face and started crying softly.

 

Jenni lifted her head to see Mike's smiling face.

"Mike," she said, smiling back at him.

 

"jenni" Mike smiled

 

"Please don't cry." he said, wanting to hug her to make her feel better, but thought it might cause one of her panic attacks.

 

She looked up at him, tears streaming down her face.
"I didn't want anyone to know," she said.

 

He rubbed her back and said "I won't tell anyone."

 

She looked into his eyes after feeling his touch. She looked down and pulled her cellphone in front of her dialing a number.
"Nicole. Come to the hospital.. a doctor needs to see you. I'm fine. I'm sure. Just hurry," she said over the phone then hung up. She looked down and sighed.

 

He continued to rub her back. "Cheer up, I'm sure everything will be fine."

 

"No....Now Nicole is going to know," she said.

 

"I'm sorry. It's all my fault." he said.

 

"No.. Don't blame yourself," she said grabbing his hand.

 

"But if I hadn't told you how I felt, you wouldn't have had a panic attack and your mother wouldn't be on her way here and she wouldn't find out."

 

"I'm glad you told me how you felt... and Nicole isn't my mother. She's my foster mom... She will more than likely send me off when she finds out. She hates secrets being kept from her," she said.

 

"I have to know, do you feel the same way about me?" he asked. "Send you off where?"

 

She nodded.
"You are a very sweet person, to stay with me," she said. Then she frowned.
"She will probably send me back to live with this hatred woman... Child Services said one more family that won't take me, and I'll be placed with that woman as a permanent home," she said.

 

"You could live with me!" he said. "I'd do anything to keep you here with me."

 

She sighed with a smile...
"How old are you?" she asked.
