I love trying to interperate abstract art.I didn't think you were interested in abstract art Pepto.
I like the last on too. It's like life. All of the peices are fragments of life that come together to form the story of a person and their soul.

1st one is ok, text doesn't fit in tho, at least not in it's current position, I suggest you move it to the right so it wouldn't be the dominant part of the tag anymore. All in all a pretty good abstract, needs a few more shapes/objects in it, because the current ones repeat them self a bit too much.

2nd one is pro, teach me plox>?<

3rd, crop the height and lose the border, it's so 2007. Do that and then we will talk.

4th less clipping masks, more solid effects. Making clipping masks your main effect will rarely give a good result, they make the tag look too unorganized and messy, like they did in this one.
Also add lighting for +3 internets

Thanks daxma and rest ^^ Yeah, abstract is the ****.

I made all three some time a while ago. Like...all of them in a total of 10 to 15 minutes. About the lack of shapes/objects. I just made 3 big dots with the 20px circle brush or something. Rest was all smudged with circle brushes.

    2nd 1 is 2 hard 4 u lol cwut i did all #s lol

Yeah. I have a thing for big borders. Muy sexo ;D

And the last, everyone says I should do clipping masks. Now I did and I'm ****ed. Damn, I gotta' learn to control on it. But I loved using it on this one. It looks more sexyy dontchuthink u bettch? I added a small bit of lighting near the hair, but ****ing lighting/contrast **** made it look like it's nothing.

I need more comments. Seriously, like I'll rep you or something. I just need some meaningful cnc.

also clipping masks are cheap, you should really use them rarely, try pentooling and dif kinds of coloring.

Xidon Abstract art doesn't have to have proper dimensions or rules in general.
Abstract are comes from whats inside you and this shows us that there is more inside
Pepto then meets the eye.Think of it this way,Don't critisise what you can't mimic, which
mean roughly translated....shut up unless you can do stuff like that yourself.

I think you have a thing or two to learn of what abstract art actually is and what makes the difference between a scribble of a 3 year old and work of a professional artist.

I had my fair share of pentool & smudging abstracts, so yes, I have done things like this. Crucial word here being "done", because I quit making tags and LP's almost 2 months ago.

ahh... different kinds of coloring = using adjustment layers, such as exposure, color balance and photofilters, using the gradient tool to make a nice color flow, using layer options such as "darken" and "lighten" to get rid of an undesired color hue... do I need to go on?

I know there's a differance between abstract art and a 3 year olds scribbles but there are no rules to abstract art so don't critise him just because he's decided to show himself for what he is.

You are a very funny person.

So let me get this straight, you are saying that abstract art can't be criticized?
Since you obviously have a wide knowledge concerning art, would you mind telling me a few differences between a good artist and a scribbling baby?

"There are no rules in abstract art", dear sir there are no rules in art in general, art is a form of expressing yourself, but there are certain factors that divide the good artists from the ones who suck, such factors are composition, relation between colors, colors complementing the theme/motive...etc and you can comment an piece based on (some of) those factors.

Also as I pointed out Pepto asked for critique and I gave it to him (that sounded awfully wrong) and he had no complains about it, so why the fu*k are you attacking me?
Do me a favor, next time you go and pick a fight with me and try to prove me wrong, have some valid arguments that will support your accusations and claims.

I have to say Pepto, one thing I'm always amazed by about your sigs is the quality of the stocks and renders used, can we discuss further where you get them from?

(I would give cnc but looking at the length of this thread I don't believe there's anything I could say that hasn't already been said.)

Alright. Guys. Xidon knows what he's talking about. We've already discussed. Abstract is on the very person making it, but to show that it's "art" it should have some requirements...at least that's how I see it =\ I appreciate dax stickin' up for me, but Xidon has a point and I respect him for his talent and work. He really is a good artist, tons better than me.

Now about the stocks and stuff. Secret. I might give one or two out by PB, but if I give it it'll soon be whore'd but I trust Cin so we'll discuss further on MSN. I don't remember if you have me though.

But for K's gift. The quality was definitely worked no. I used a bit of Topaz myself xD
