Heya, still need help? Seeing as you already have uploaded some ripped ReCoM cutscenes for download, it doesn't look like you do. I've never heard of such vag files for the audio, just the audio that comes with the pss file.

As a update, I've uploaded my own ripped English cutscenes of ReCoM.
You can find the English ones here, in avi format stored in a zipped file.
And original Japanese here, in wmv.

the audio isn't demuxed i believe.
it is in a wav file, it just has no header.
    incase none fixed that yet.

Yeah, I actually figured that out XD The thing is, the only header I found distorted the audio by decreasing the speed (affects both tempo and pitch). I had to play around with that to make it sound normal. The problem is that when I change the pitch using Sony Vegas, the audio glitches up in the first few seconds.

Thanks to both of you, but the only thing I really need help with is finding a .wav header that doesn't distort the audio.

Oh, and Crisp, is that the correct aspect ratio for ReCoM (used in your videos), or is it a guess? It looks a little off to me.

I have the header that you could use that will not change the speed of the wav file.

    52 49 46 46 34 42 26 00 57 41 56 45 66 6D 74 20 20 00 00 00 70 02 02 00 80 BB 00 00 50 46 00 00 80 01 00 00 0E 00 01 00 00 10 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 64 61 74 61 CC 95 A7 02

Found out about that recently, thanks to AnimeMusicVideos.org.

Educated guess. I studied the aspect ratio of Kingdom Hearts cutscenes by capturing them with a capture card. Though the aspect ratio used is from KHII, not ReCoM. Not sure is they're the same or not.

Heh heh, thanks for that, it works like a charm! ^^

And I'm not sure, but from looking at the original Japanese cutscenes on this site, the aspect ratio is a little different. *shrugs* I think I'm just picky XD

Your video's aspect ratio might be the correct one after all. I checked the cutscenes in the video archive, and I found they match closely to your AR. I used to think it was that too, why did I change my mind? It makes more sense that it would play like that, other than the random number I got. Hey, I'm the perfectionist myself.

Assuming you have the excess data on the end of your wav files, I have a solution for that as well. I used a program called Virtualdub.

    The steps are easy:
    1) Open, in VirtualDub, a video file of at least 50,000 frames length.
    2) Go to Audo>Audio from another file...
    3) Open the wav file you wanna trim
    4)Go to Video>Frame Rate...
5)Choose "Change so video and audio durations match"; OK
    6)File>Save WAV...
    After saving, you're done!

You should have a fully working wav file ready to be combined with the videos, no more messing around in another video editing program!

I actually took off the excess data at the end XD I deleted all of the 00's after the last significant digit.

I don't really like Virtual Dub Mod. The quality is excellent, but the files are HUGE, like a few gigabytes for a few minutes. Plus, I haven't been able to find a way to combine video files, so that there aren't about 70 different files for Sora's Story alone.

The draw back with Vegas though, is that it can be glitchy when rendering the file.

You need to select a codec to compress the video so that the file isn't so huge. In VirtualDubMod, select Video>Compression... Then you can select from any one of your already installed codecs.

Hey Crisp, I came across this topic while looking on how to remove subtitles...do you have Files of KH1 and KH2 with Subtitles removed?

I'd prefer to just Download them instead of removing them and re-rendering them myself.

    THANKS!

you can't rip KH1 and KH2 cutscenes. there in real time, not pre-rendered (besides CGI).
but there is a way to do it. but you'd have to re-record all the KH2 cutscenes with the no subtitle cheat code on.

Yep, I would do that, except I don't have a capture card, and I hear they're pricey >_>; Plus, I would have to hook up my PS2 (not that big of a deal), since my Codebreaker doesn't work with my PS3.

i've recorded some of the KH cutscenes in High Definition (1280x720) with the no subtitles code on for amv's.
once i finish them all i may upload them or make a torrent of all of them.
