Nice. Really great quality. Is this achievable with the other KH games?

Yes, but only for the game's FMV's, i.e. the games' openings and endings.

Now if only someone could do those Reverse Rebirths with some subs so I can understand what they are saying. However, I must commend you that these look much better than the videos up already. The only thing we seem to be missing really from KH-Vids section is the remaining RR in subbed. I almost had my hopes up that these were it!!! But still, I am very impressed at how much better these videos are in detail.

Watch. Anyone who wants the best quality KH:Re:CoM cutscenes will come flocking over here to KH-vids, making us come one step closer to taking over the KH world! Mwa ha ha! :sly:

But seriously, that's pure eye candy. Maybe since we're the only ones who have it, this'll increase the forum's members ten-fold. :xp:

Hello everyone! First of all pardon me for my english. It's terrible, I know. :stupid:

I'm trying to adjust the WMV video 'cause they are not so good. The original AspectRatio (I will refer to this concept writing "AR" in the rest of the post) is a kind of 16:9, but the linked WMV have an AR of 4:3.
As you can see thechracters seem to be "taller", and the circles (like the shield or the keybade's mouse pendant) become oval. I'm tryng to recompress these WMV using Avisynth and the XviD codec and setting the corret AR, these are the results.

As you can see there is a huge lost of detail, caused by the "enlargement" of the picture. But If I could use the original source of the video I think the result may be much better.
If you are interested in my project (which results I will share with you all) I ask you to let me have access to the original untouched video sources.

See ya (I hope) very soon! :woohoo:

    • floor1,
    • floor3,
    • floor5,
    • floor6,
    • floor8,
    • floor9,
    • floor11,
    • floor12,
    • floor13,
    • recom ending,
    • basement12,
    • basement4,
    • basement3,
    • basement2,
    • basement1,
    • And the rr ending.
Could you sort out this problem?

If you could fix some of your links, if they aren't up, I will personally bug spdude to make sure they go up. You did a lot of great work on these so if they get fixed, I'd love to see them shown on the site.

having no subtitles is ideal for parodies and AMV making.

Sorry for not realizing that you guys posted in here!

About Mushi-shi's concerns, you're right, 4:3 is the incorrect aspect ratio. After using a video capture device to capture some cutscenes, I now believe Kingdom Hearts plays them at an aspect ratio of 1.53:1. I'll fix then reupload them at once.

So, the links do not work right now, cause you are re-uploading them? Am I right?

Also, are these in english, or japanese?

Actually, in a way, it can be, it won't be a direct rip, though. Don't count on this happening, because people probably wouldn't want to re-record all of the cutscenes, but there is a cheat code that can be used to remove subtitles.

Not to be an arse, (but I bet I am :D) but what am I doing wrong if I click the download links and get redirected to the filefront homepage? I'd like to download these cutscenes as early as I can.

I tried to rip the video files from the North American Re:CoM, but it looks like those files, along with others, are hidden. Even though the disk is 4.12 GB, there are less than 4 MB worth of files.

    All I can see is:

    MODULES (folder containing "IOPRP310.IMG")
    SLUS_217.99
    SYSTEM.CNF

Anyone know what I can do to get the other files to show up?

I know this was over a month ago... but are you still going to re-upload these?

I had actually downloaded some of the cutscenes from this topic to watch at my leisure and they were nothing short of gorgeous. But many of my files were deleted recently, and I had been looking for this topic again, though I figured that the links would be dead anyway...

Those files are PSS files, they can be demultiplexed into an Avi and a Wav file in order to paste them as a perfect avi video with the maximum quality.

square enix stores the audio for the video games as a seperate file.
the game runs the video through a pss file.
    audio through a vag file.
    and subtitles through bin files.

thats why there is no audio/subtitles in the extracted vids.

Sorry to bump this, but I've made some progress. I've been able to rip all of the video files on to my computer in an mpeg format. As stated before, the video, audio and subtitles are stored as separate files. Can someone list the programs needed to rip the .vag files from the disk?
