All Alone...

I woke up this morning
like i usually do
but something was different.
You have gone away for now
and i know you'll return soon.
But nothing is quite the same without you.

When I get up there's nobody
there to tell me good morning.
Nobody to hug me
and ask me if I slept well.

I always hated it
when you snuck up behind me
but now i wish that you were here
to do it again...

Without you my life just isn't the same
and I wish you had never left.
But I know where you are
you are having fun.
So I'll see you at weekend's end.

This poem is dedicated to my sister who just left with my church on a mission trip to mexico today... I wish her luck at all she's doing to help after the hurricane that recently happened down there... :)
