Alice In Wonderland (2010)

The first book starts out similarly to the Disney movie; she's having some sort of lesson with her sister, when she sees the White Rabbit run by, and she wakes up saying that she's had a 'curious dream.' The second book starts with her cats cleaning each other, and she begins to talk to the black one I believe. She begins telling the cat a story about a chess game and a looking-glass world, and it goes on from there.

i read the books awhile ago but i do think she went there for the first time
