    I know it's a bit early...well, very early....but it's too damn awesome..

Tim Burton, as we know for making The Nightmare Before Christmas, is making a remake of Alice in Wonderland, and it's in 3-D...so it has to be awesome. It's from both the books, Alice in Wonderland, and Through the Looking Glass.

    Mia Wasikowska as Alice
Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter
Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen.Carter's head will be increased in size by three times on screen.
Anne Hathaway as the White Queen. Her character does not require digital manipulation. Hathaway summed up her character with a caption on a magnet of Happy Bunny holding a knife she was given; "Cute but psycho. Things even out."
Michael Sheen as the White Rabbit
Alan Rickman as the Caterpillar. Rickman was filmed while recording his voice in a studio, and his face will be composited onto a computer-generated character.
Stephen Fry as the Cheshire Cat.
Matt Lucas as Tweedledum and Tweedledee
Crispin Glover as the Knave of Hearts
Eleanor Tomlinson as Fiona Chataway, an unfriendly girl Alice knows before she falls down the rabbit hole.
    Jemma Powell as Alice's sister
    Lindsay Duncan as Alice's mother
    Leo Bill as Hamish
    Gotten this from Wiki...

I hate re-makes, but if Tim Burton's the director, I'll give him a chance, as he's so good :D

I know what you mean; I can't stand them either, only it doesn't matter how good the director/movie is, once is enough.

I'm looking forward to this, but considering you are refering to the original being the Disney Animated version this isn't really a remake of sorts. This will probably be fairly accurate to the book, while the Disney version was a bit more...cheerful.

That sounds..... really really creepy. I'm sure it won't be too bad, but I've never been a fan of Tim Burton's style, so I think I'll steer clear of this one.

It's not a remake, like Destined said. it's based off of the [incredible] story written by Lewis Carroll. The Disney movie was very loosely based off of the books too, although they made it a little bit more child-friendly in terms of understandability.

I'm a big fan of the books, and I can't help but be afraid for this movie. I do enjoy Burton's movies, but I don't think that the vivid, topsy-turvy world Carroll created really fits into his dark comedic style. But I hope that he proves me wrong. I can't say that I really like Depp for the part, either. I don't like his acting. He projects his voice very strangely and he doesn't have a variety of facial expressions imo. And seeing as the Mad Hatter is one of my favorite characters of all-time, I pray he doesn't ruin it.

I'm so excited. I love Burton.
    But Johnny Depp being in it makes me weary. >>;
    I hope it's good. I really can't wait.

This movie is going to make 2010 awesome...Though I like most of the people they picked(I also read both books) Johnny Depp make me weary of it, even though he fits the Mad Hatter perfectly at times, he makes it too over the top.

Such an awesome cast... I can't wait to see what Tim Burton does with this.
Carter's part sounds funny, and the whole thing so far sounds twisted in a great Burton way.

I was feeling the sameway, when i saw Depp on that list as the hatter i was dissappointed. Depp is kinda like a crack baby... The hatter was a complete lunatic...
The Hatter is probably in the top 3 favorite character's ever. Right up there with Tyler Durden. Lol, Norton should be in the movie somewhere.

I am torn with this, on the one hand I adore Burton to absolute pieces, but on the other I am slightly worried that it will go too far into the dark. Alice in Wonderland is dark I don't deny that, but I am not sure if it is Burton dark.

Hopefully it will be good. I do love his films, I just hope this one doesn't do any damage.

I've lost all faith I had for this movie. Spoilers for the plot.

It's going to be a sort of "Alice's return to Wonderland" thing, and she's going to have some sort of love interest in the Mad Hatter. I've always adored Alice in Wonderland because, though Alice is thrown into a world with rather dark undertones she still maintains and gives the reader a child-like point of view. I'm not happy with this. :/

Its Alice in Wonderland mate, and Tim Burton, I am guessing pretty damn dark. Can you please put a little more effort into your posts though, you are starting to borderline spam.

Excuse me CtR. :sleepy:... I'll redo my post. >:

Seeing as how Tim Burton is such a dark person it makes me wonder why in the world he would choose a movie like Alice in Wonderland. I mean like in Kingdom Hearts Alice in Wodnerland world was just a really perky world with great music. And then you transfer to the world with Jack Skellington and it goes to total Emo. But really i suppose he doesn't have to keep making his movies Emo. And Could in fact make this lighter then the rest of his movies. But i doubt it cuz... well he's Tim Burton. I also wonder how they got that casting crew. Thats alot of pretty good actors. And I mean wow. I'm really looking forward to this movie!

    IS THAT GOOD ENOUGH!?
