    Factor in the fact that they've sunk and are probably waterlogged, which could mess with the internal working and electrical connections inside the boxes and the race seems a lot shorter.

    Just checked the news: 16 bodies have been found now, and supposedly a piece o the plane itself. Maybe now they'll hone in on those boxes.
