As we know, the midseason premiere is March 3 at 9pm EST on ABC.

Also, Luke Mitchell (The Tomorrow People; Home and Away) has been cast as an Inhuman named Lincoln who has an important role in helping Skye understand her abilities.

 

I'm glad HYDRA isn't completely out of the picture despite Whitehall's death. While I am really excited to see this Inhumans arc they have going, it's really hard to imagine the show without HYDRA.

Seems to me like a precursor/preview to what we'll be seeing in Captain America: Civil War

 

I love that post-Winter Soldier AoS is allowed to be so proactive in setting up the future of the MCU. I've been getting Civil War vibes this entire second half of the season so far, and it's only increasing each week. And then there's the obvious Inhumans stuff. People who checked out of the show early are missing out on a lot.

 

So this whole season has been great, but last night's episode was a standout for me. HOW 'BOUT THEM SURPRISE CHARACTERS FOR EXAMPLE

 

I think what I find really interesting is:

Coulson had Deathlok spy on List (aka Baron von Strucker's assitant) the whole time. If this isn't leading to that upcoming Age of Ultron crossover, then I don't know what is. Also... Jiaying with Skye!!! ;~;

I am terrified for when AoS crosses over with AoU. We only have three episodes between now and AoU's theatrical release, and things are not going to be pretty when Ultron hits in the middle of the SHIELD civil war and the Inhumans stuff.

...I won't lie, when I first saw the top of Mike's head peer over that landing ramp, for a split second I thought it might be an LMD of Trip. Then he pulled the ramp down and I realized it was Mike--which was still really cool (I actually shouted out loud), but I miss Trip. ;___;

What I really want to know is hOW JIAYING IS EVEN ALIVE?? AND WHEN DID CAL FIND OUT, FOR THAT MATTER??? HE SEEMED AWFULLY ACCLIMATED TO HER PRESENCE FOR HIM ThINKING HER DEAD FOR YEARS. DID HE THINK SHE WAS DEAD FOR YEARS? OR WAS HE PUTTING ON AN ACT TO PROTECT HER???

I'm sure we'll get the answer to how she's alive later on, but as for Cal... if you remember the moment when Gordon first brought Cal to that room episodes ago, there seemed to be an individual showed off-screen that caught Cal's attention. I think that individual was Jiaying, and that moment may have been when Cal found out she was alive.

 

Cobie Smulders confirmed to reprise her role as Maria Hill. And apparently, the season finale will be a two-hour event (two back-to-back episodes).

It's Coulson who's assembling the Avengers this time! Indirectly, sure, but who cares!

^This quote right here is why I love this show so much, and I'm so glad to have watched this week's episode right before I get to see Age of Ultron in two days.

 

Season 3 is a go (though it was pretty much guaranteed)!

 

Brief season 3 synopsis:

 

She was briefly in the end of the episode before Age of Ultron's premiere, asking Coulson over video chat if Theta Protocol was ready.

 

Luke Mitchell promoted to series regular. Guess that pretty much confirms Lincoln as part of the Secret Warriors.

 

Henry Simmons has also been promoted to series regular.

Season 3 will officially premiere on September 29 at 9:00 pm ET.
